There are a lot of us that are with you, Jami....believe Storm was pregnant by blood test, and when the signs were showing on her bag, she gave us a lot of suspicions of not being pregnant indicating having a loss. It is sad, but she now shows of being healthy, and Storm can get back with her friends and enjoy her life. Keep your head up strong and enjoy life with her Jami. You can decide in the future if you want to try to breed her again.

You did not make the symptoms up. But…having been around many pregnant mares…I could tell that she didn’t seem pregnant. At that point Storm would have been bigger and the foal would have been observable. You can see the belly have weird shapes as the foal moves around. I’m pretty sure Storm had a nervous (fake) pregnancy like my mare once did. My mare even had milk! But she wasn’t pregnant. Hope you’re not sad and disappointed, Jamie. ❤
So VERY HAPPY that Storm got a clean bill of health…so sorry she is no longer pregnant, my heart was so very excited for that event. I feel like she would NOT have been trying to stomp down grass in the back corner of their pasture if she wasn’t pregnant, too many symptoms with a bag & waxy teets. Even tho you already have your hands/plate full, but having the Postitive blood test, watching her prepare for giving birth, to have it all disappear is very sad… You did NOT lead us to think/believe she was pregnant, no need for apologies - her body, her behavior having Rita help her make a birthing nest, her bag/teets were filling, wax was there - so very sorry she lost her baby, but THRILLED to know she is healthy…it was fun anticipating a foal…I know you are feeling a loss, so are we - right along WITH you Jami - Hugzalot❣️

Could it be that Storm might have given birth to a stillborn and hid it somewhere on the J&L? Or that the incident with Voodoo and the 8 days of rain could have caused enough stress for her to miscarry? I feel so sad for Storm. You didn't let us down Jami. Nature can be beautiful and cruel at the same time.
@pamtaylor6612 I think back to the Arms family and when one of their baby donkeys died during the flood/tornado. They couldn't find the baby in the aftermath and they think the baby got swept away by the flooding. Maybe Storm did give birth, and a similar thing happened. The baby sadly got washed away. 😢

Lots of love to both of you. A few months ago I fainted, the hospital said I was +. Except Im 50..and my new husband can not have kids. So that was a fun conversation to have with him😮. He said"How long were you passed out for and who was in the room?" Laughter helped, but honestly it was an emotional time- and I know this is for you and Storm. A loss is different, a lot of us have been there, and seeing a beloved animal go through it is heartbreaking. They "know", they feel, and many grieve. She is getting the best care and love and I know you will weather this together.
Being happy, healthy, well fed, loved, living in beautiful pastures with a herd, doing horsey stuff can only be dreamed about by many horses. Nothing about that beautiful animals' life can be disparaged
Jami, you have not let anyone down. This loss is hard on you and Stormy. This is a loss that someone will never understand unless you go through it. At the age of 40 I lost a set of twins around 30 weeks of pregnancy. It’s been 20 years and I still get teary eyed when I look at baby clothes. This was a loss that only those closest to me to me will ever understand or those that have loss along this line. It’s an emotional roller coaster ahead of you and Storm. I had the feeling that she quite possibly miscarried as her symptoms diminished I’m so sorry Jami. Storm is in her element now. She’s got her pond, barn, shade trees, hills, and she knows that Voo is back. Just being back home is helping her to heal.

You felt that in your soul, in your being. and with every fiber of you. Unfortunately for whatever the reason, It wasn't meant to be. Just like with humans... I have lost a few babies myself. Our hearts are saddened by this news But what is most important (like you said) is that Storm is ok So here is a great big hug from my heart to yours sending love to both you and Storm. Lots of love to both of you. A few months ago I fainted, the hospital said I was +. Except Im 50..and my new husband can not have kids. So that was a fun conversation to have with him😮. He said"How long were you passed out for and who was in the room?" Laughter helped, but honestly it was an emotional time- and I know this is for you and Storm. A loss is different, a lot of us have been there, and seeing a beloved animal go through it is heartbreaking. They "know", they feel, and many grieve. She is getting the best care and love and I know you will weather this together.

Jami, you have not let anyone down. This loss is hard on you and Stormy. This is a loss that someone will never understand unless you go through it. At the age of 40 I lost a set of twins around 30 weeks of pregnancy. It’s been 20 years and I still get teary eyed when I look at baby clothes. This was a loss that only those closest to me to me will ever understand or those that have loss along this line. It’s an emotional roller coaster ahead of you and Storm.
