I'm working towards opening a similar, smaller scale art school in Queens and it has been so much work. I'm a mobile operation now, but looking to start my brick and mortar by November 2024. Currently working full time as an elementary school art teacher, hosting my events, keeping up with marketing / customer service, working on artwork for a show, all while trying to maintain a life has been draining & exciting all at once. You got this SLEW! I've signed up for a few of your events, but have been too busy to make it. I'll be at one this year for sure.
I'm making a year plan myself but with my parameters in place. I give elder care part-time to my Dad, work a day job full time then paint/film around that. Since I'm so limited with hours I'm just making and compiling my work with footage until about my 6 month mark, will take a week off from my dayjob (paid vacation woohoo) and will edit that footage and hopefully, start posting it if it's feasible. If not, fine, keep making then do another round of making then vacation to edit again until I have enough to at least a decent level to hopefully start posting and getting the social media ball rolling by Fall (soft goal).

Love this look behind the scenes of your mindset and vision. There are a lot of creators on this platform who talk about plans, but what makes yours so good is the fact that you seem to have consistently carried out exactly those plans over the years here on RUclips, making your growth even more addicting to witness. Have you thought about my idea for you to do a portrait contest in your studio,I think it would be cool.You have enough followers and you're really good in front of a camera,plus you have personality.You can let the artists paint,draw, whatever.It seems you have enough space,you've already done live sessions.I'll bet it would do good
I have a similar roadmap, but I'm very far behind you Slew. I had a RUclips channel before that I lost due to bad UX and now here I am again having started a new channel after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I honestly believe that part of my diagnosis is due to me having ADHD, a stressful job that goes against my brain and not expressing my creative side. I wanted to be a full time artists when I was a kid, but I didn't have the support necessary to build that dream. Here I am 34 years old and having made it my 2024 ambition to start making art, get my Patreon set up and run it all alongside a full time User Experience Designer. I have no idea how long it will take me, but I know it's an ambitious goal and one I intend on working on even if it means my output is slow.
I am so happy to have seen you grow so much with your channel and you remain an inspiration to me to try once again and push harder. Thank you for making such authentic content. I also love your merch!

I'm certain, you put a lot of effort into your videos, content and products, everything is amazing!!, Good luck, I hope you can make a sorta event also online for us to support you with donations or something. Also pro tip, I'm sure you already did it, but have a vision board next to you when you wake up everyday, you can visualize yourself and your dreams
Your channel is a lot better than other peoples because you provide more information about different styles of painting stencils spray painting acrylics etc.

Ted Degrazia, Painted with palate knives mostly; he did use brushes. I think you would really like his work, if you haven’t already looked him up before. To correct my last ignorant, comment, there’s a lot of wonderful painters like Chris Fornataro, Bob Ross taught me a lot, I like Color By Felicks I learned a lot from him and Bob Ross, and Andrew Tischler is more advanced to me, I like him too. Chris Fornataro has some really good tips for oil painting and is also inspiring, “The Paint Coach.”
