My son's pediatrician suggested rubbing olive oil on his head and using a fine toothed baby comb to gently remove... and it worked. You don't need expensive ointments or shampoos.

I had them with greasy coconut/olive oil for the first 4+ months and it was done! Occasionally added a drop or two to the the container of Lavender Essential oil

Me a Palestinian: just use olive oil. Dry skin? Olive oil. Dandruff? Olive oil. Can’t poop? Spoon full of olive oil.

Thank you for being such a loving caring mom ❤ this warms my heart.

I had no idea there was a name for this😮 my baby brothers and sisters always had this and I thought it was just them shedding their dead skin differently cuz they’re babies. We just used a soft thick brush to massage their scalp, it didn’t work too well but it felt good lol. Definitely going to try olive/coconut oil when I have children😊

If you're bathing them in bubble baths, you need to rinse them afterwards, it helps to stop the skin from drying out due to excess soap residue.

My youngest had cradle cap, it was really thick, and he got it on his eyebrows too bless him. I soaked his head with my breast milk, and wiped a breast milk soaked cotton ball over his brow area and it worked wonders for him

It’s very rare to have cradle cap beyond 3 months. Cradle cap is a type of dermatitis it’s advised you have a GP check it’s not a type of eczema if it’s present after 3 months.

The Frida baby comb is amazing for this!

Lol getting that stuff out is so fun 😂 there were no products i knew of then, olive oil works!

I’m glad my Native babies come with a full head of hair, They’re always coming right with the good hair.

My daughter has cradles cap, its already nearly gone but when she first got it she had it in her eyebrows, i dabbed some breastmilk on it daily and it went away after about 2 or 3 days, and now she gets it on her head and i find what seems to help, is putting some baby oil on her head, leaving it for a little bit, and giving her a bath and massaging her head with shampoo, and ill typically put the baby oil on, get her bath ready and get her undressed, and then wash it. I also pump some milk ahead of time, and pour it on her head after washing/rinsing, then rinse some of the excess off with a little water. When i first did this nearly all of it was gone.

Dont wash her head with any shampoo for the next 3 months. Just wash with plane water.

that is such a cute baby

My kids are older so I didn’t have any of this a few years back. However, I used a shampoo and made sure I brushed her head with a baby brush everyday. My baby had lots of hair. It’s just something that happens. Hope this works great for you and so glad they are making products for all of this.

it happened to my son too, went away and came back months later around 4-5 months. i just made sure to brush his scalp every day with a super soft brush and it eventually went away with regular scheduled bathing every 2 days
