- In 2019 my Wife and I sold our house, packed up our stuff, and drove to Alaska. We purchased 2 acres of undeveloped land near the Cook Inlet and set to work.
This video shows me building our 16' x 20' off grid cabin, just in time for our Daughter and winter to join us.

All music in the video was made in the loft of the cabin on my computer over winter.

Thanks for watching!!!
It’s amazing what people do can do. I could probably be amazing myself if I stopped watching videos of people being amazing.
Damn, he built a house in 23 minutes.
The fact that he builds this whole thing without having to throw his back out, this dude has engineered himself some fancy tools to help
No wonder he's skinny, but he's young, knows home construction, harvesting lumber from logs, clever and innovative and completed all that work presumably before the first snowfall, wow! Really clever and resourceful. I had hoped to build my own home when I was young, except not enough money for land, new home building and a temporary residence while under construction. Ah, the dreams of the young men and women. Great looking house and baby! Alaska is a beautiful state!!!
I just hung a bookshelf on the wall. Took me all day and a boyfriend
I’m 17 and currently investing in a travel travel trailer to live. I hate the cities and love nature but I’m from LA and the life here just doesn’t feel natural. This is my dream to have right here, I just want a small simple house in the forest by a river where I can fish ✨
The amount of real physical labor that actually went into this build is crazy! Great job👍🏻
i just spent 23 minutes watching a guy build a house and i enjoyed every second of it
Man I wish I would have learned how to do this stuff rather than all the stuff I learned in college. Now I’m old and it’s too late,
So that's how babies are made, I've been doing it wrong this whole time.
THANK YOU all so much for the kind words and positive feedback! The response has been incredible.
Even more impressive is the fact that he did all of this incredible work with a .45 strapped to his hip. One has to be prepared in grizz country.
The sheer tenacity of this home, build and human endeavour just reminded me why it's wonderful to be alive and work towards a goal. Impressed beyond writ... Amen
I've watched too many DIY Cabin videos . a lot of them consist of putting together lego pieces. But you did a very difficult work alone. I believe this perseverance is due to the love you have for your family. Great work and thanks for share.
This is not just "a casual man" This guy is a professional of the construction industry. He knew very well what he was doing.
A person with a powerful will and determination. Worth respect. A real man.
You have inspired me.
I have mad respect for this person. How many people can actually build their own house. 👍👍💪
This is one of the best off-grid time-lapse build videos I've ever seen. Not only is your work amazing, but you captured the process perfectly 👌
I am truely impressed with the way you leverage these logs around and how you do it by yourself.
