You’re inspiring Todd. Seriously, I like several other channels, but yours has a true “down to earth” feel. I can relate more to you. Thank you for providing this content. I usually say …. “comment for currency” because that’s really what it is and dam it, you deserve every dime and more!
looked like to me you had a lot of life left in those sprockets and idlers. I usually wouldn't recommend putting new ones on old tracks either. Best to let them wear together. What was your reason for changing them out?
I think he was just trying to avoid tracks coming off on a job... He may have been told to change 'em and didn't know better until they were side-by-side. I agree... would have just added grease to tighten for any job with inclines and waited until the tracks were shot and replaced it all at once. I haven't seen the entire Idler replaced before... i thought there was a bearing in it you could swap out.. idk. Good Video tho 👍
Aloha Todd , Just wanted to drop in and see how things are going , as usual , looking good . I just changed tracks on my Takeuchi last week . It didn't go as well for me but we got it done . We didn't have much space to work in so it was not a good time .
Truck or track , Todd another 5 ⭐ video and hopefully the tracks stay on the yanmar and as always God bless y'all from Gaffney South Carolina viewer 🙏❤️💯
Truck or Track I hope your tracks dont give you problems . But i think if it does it will be a case of pumping more grease into the tensioner . Keep up the good work Todd . i am from the UK but live in Thailand . Take care and work safe Todd
Interesting and educational to follow your you-tube channel. Why did you switch drive sprockets and Idlers? I thought they looked good. Greetings from Sweden
Pro tip, spray WD40 in your socket before you pull out a bolt and it comes out much easier, TRUCK or TRACK . I've worked in a tooling department for years and give 5 stars for the cleanliness and lube on your machine.
More frequent greasing should help maintain proper track tension to reduce slipping. Of course, you can see the sprocket wear MUCH better in person than we can through the camera. Still, I'd say try keeping those new ones greased up and you should see better results. Your proactive approach to maintenance is better than negligence on either truck or track. 😎
I agree, waste of money replacing the sprockets and idlers , I welded some meat back on my idlers, unless your dropping tracks all time he just wasted a few grand
lol, that's what i wondered as well, they have like 80% of life left in them, why would you replace them? the thing is almost brand new. They can last you 6000 more hours rofl
Haven't you learned anything from the series "Gold Rush" Never---Never perform maintenance on any equipment until you are in the middle of a big job and only after those parts literally rust or fall off!

My thoughts exactly...

I believe that if you had to make a choice between "Truck or Track", you would take track every time. 😁👍
Well Todd you made that look easy but I know it's not as easy as it looks. 😉

Truck or track!
Leave the same machine. What’s easiest way to get to the belts.
And do you use factory belt replacements?
If not what brand and or number
Truck or Track!
Truck or track.
What was the point of replacing them? They looked like they were in great shape
The bearings were wore causing the tracks to kick off constantly.

Seems like there should be a less messy way… lol

Invest in Milwaukee mid torque and high torque M18 fuel impacts. Get rid of that DeWalt garbage. 😀
Thanks for vote Dave!!! I’ve had some Milwaukee in past. Definitely high quality tools
I thought the name of the excavator shall not be called out.🤨🤨
Truck or track!!!! Truck or track!!!!
There was nothing wrong with the sprockets or idlers…. Why did you replace them??
lol, that's what i wondered as well, they have like 80% of life left in them, why would you replace them? the thing is almost brand new. They can last you 6000 more hours rofl
Need to get some real tools if you intend to service your own equipment...can't use a 1/4" impact to remove 7/16" bolts....
