What does that sound like? foreknew goes all the way to glorification
It's a good idea to discuss these doctrines in an open f forum. But, God has given man the option of freewill and He(God) will not violate that option. If we cling to him and his word he will in nowise castout.
Any doctrine that ignores scriptures, for we live by every word which proceeds from the mouth of God, and has erroneous interpretations on the scriptures that disagree with their doctrine (for they would rather not be questioned in them), is a false doctrine that will lead its followers to hell. God is not unaware of this and a former Calvinist preacher was shown by Jesus in a vision that some of his congregation was in hell, and if he continued to teach Calvinism, he would go to hell, also. He repented and became a true Christian. Praise God.

In my love for you all. I do not think this was a great representation of the doctrine of unconditional election or Calvin's points at all. Calvinist do not tell people "you can't be saved unless God chooses you", they proclaim the Gospel and say "whosoever will". The whole emphasis of Calvin according to Scripture, is that God enables man to have faith and believe, as man is depraved and his will is subject to death and trespass according to Romans 3. Calvinist do not deny free will. How would you describe "For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified." (Romans 8:29-30) Or "For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy." (Romans 9:15-16) Or "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will." (Ephesians 1:3-5 ESV) I think disagreement is fine, but proper representation of the other side is crucial. Demas was saved then left in unbelief, so did many of Jesus' own disciples. Judas himself was saved or the Holy Spirit couldn't have been used through him when Jesus sent them out. It's a personal decision that God will allow because of freewill. God won't make you love Him.

God is not unaware of this and a former Calvinist preacher was shown by Jesus in a vision that some of his congregation was in hell, and if he continued to teach Calvinism, he would go to hell, also. He repented and became a true Christian. Praise God.

In my love for you all. I do not think this was a great representation of the doctrine of unconditional election or Calvin's points at all. Calvinist do not tell people "you can't be saved unless God chooses you", they proclaim the Gospel and say "whosoever will". The whole emphasis of Calvin according to Scripture, is that God enables man to have faith and believe, as man is depraved and his will is subject to death and trespass according to Romans 3. Calvinist do not deny free will.
How would you describe "For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he predestined he also called, and those whom he called he also justified, and those whom he justified he also glorified." (Romans 8:29-30)
Or "For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” So then it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God, who has mercy." (Romans 9:15-16)

Demas was saved then left in unbelief, so did many of Jesus' own disciples. Judas himself was saved or the Holy Spirit couldn't have been used through him when Jesus sent them out. It's a personal decision that God will allow because of freewill. God won't make you love Him.
