Yeah, but if you're working in a hospital or a work environment you will obviously talk about a project you've been assigned to together. Then you have to talk as long as its only about work you can talk and engage put forth your ideas brainstorm etc.
Shaykh, surely going to a gathering/congregation where men and women are present and sitting together and chatting together, is different to going to a supermarket and a public place like a library where men and women are present? Shaykh I think you should make a distinction between the two scenarios. The former is freemixing and the latter isn't
Freemixing = men and woman in the same area. This happened during the time of the prophet and companions PBUH. Nothing wrong with it until Islamic rules are broken (touching, 1on1 private meetings w/non muharam, etc..)

In Islam Free Mixing is not Haram. Even in Masjid, Souq, gathering, etc.. there was always mixing during the times of the Prophet. I find it weird that this culture thing is becoming a religious thing.
Excactly, we just have conditions when free mixing some of which I know below: 1. Women cannot sweeten their voice and must cover their adornment 2. Men must also cover their awrah 3. No touching non- mahram 4. A third person (ideally the girls mahram) must be present Allahu Alam
