I would like to see how to refill or repair this nail in few weeks. I hope this wouldn't be a big problem. However, I really enjoy watching Kirsty doing nails, she explains everything she is doing. Thank you Kirsty. Love you. 😊
always love watching your videos...I binge watch them back to back all day.. Addict? yes...very much so! haha. I have been doing my own as well as others nails for over 16 years now. I learned from my aunt who was a beautician ...she did everything. However it was "old school"...so I love learning newer stuff from you. Thanks again Kirsty!
Thank you so much for posting this video. it helps me so much. I'm a beginner & I struggle so much with the smile line. Thank you. and I look forward in seeing more of ur creations. God bless you.
I noticed it as well.....from sculpting the middle finger and pinching it, to filing and buffing the index finger and back to the middle finger again. Maybe it's a test to see how well we're paying attention to Kirsty's videos. ;)
This is something I really can't do. Thanks for the video, I will try doing it your way. You are an amazing artist. Is there anything you can't do lol xx
I'm so glad to finally see a hard gel extension on a form! I never use acrylic because of the smell, so I love this! Quick question - can't you just go straight to using the cover pink and skip the clear builder and sculpture gels? What would be the benefit of using those?
The coloured gels are a slightly different consistency to the clear builder and the sculpture gel is thicker, so it keeps it's shape for longer before curing :)
I think your probably the best nail designer I have ever come across .... like so unbelievable . I am starting out in nails and your Chanel helps me more than anyone !
I love your videos and I watch them all the time. Could you make a video about the different gels and their uses and the differences between them. Thanks
amiga me encanta todo lo que ases eres gran empredora y todo lo ases con fasilidad felicidades saludos para ty y tu bella familia deseo mas prosperidad y bendisiones
I really like working gel. I bought acrylic set from amazon and didn't enjoy using it. Perhaps I just need more practice. I am definitely gonna try a starter kit from Naio Nails. At the moment I'm using Silcare. Everything is reasonably priced minus the white gel for French nails which is extortionate. 😒 love your videos Kristie
Krissey , you are cool as he..! I love watching Ur videos ! You r the best . I only wish I could do nails even half of what you do ! I admire you and ur Nails . U always brighten my day ! Cheryl Caudill
How long does a fullest sculptured french gel take you? I did a set yesterday and it took 3 hours! I wanted to cry and I've done nails 12 years. They looked amazing, but it took so long. Is that bad? Or does it take you a while too?
Gel seems like it is harder to work with than acrylic and I'm sure you could have done an acrylic nail to look just like the gel nail. Is one better than the other or one more preferred for some reason?
justacommentism1 It's pretty much preference. I think gel is way easier than acrylic to me. Plus it doesn't smell and you can work with it as long as you'd like because it doesn't set until you want it to.
Had to check back to this video, I used the white and cover pink and they didn't cure properly at all 😭 totally ruined a set of nails, thought it may have been cause I used an LED lamp but I cured way longer than in this video. Absolutely love the Acrylic products though!
I have a question. What's the real difference between builder gel and hard gel? I mean can you do a full nail/set with either or. Or are they both specifically for a purpose, or is it really the tech or customers preference?
one i believe is thicker and stronger for building and the other just hard and thinner. builder would move less and only self level slightly, for creating apex
hi I've been watching your videos they are really good I'm hoping to learn how to do nails can you give me any tips I do my own nails hope to hear from you Emma 😊
if you are using coloured gel polishes, I would recommend leaving the sticky layer on before applying the next coat as removing it can remove colour :)
I've been having a problem when doing nails on myself they always seem to lift real quickly I take away the sine off the nail I push the cuticle and I add dehydrator and two coats of primer. I let the primer dry and I don't let the acrylic touch my cuticle and I make sure it's not thick around the cuticle . What do you think it could be
very pretty! I love all of your work, but I'm wondering why you extend the smile line so far. I mean, it extends past the end of your finger which makes it look really unnatural.
Great video again Kirsty, thanks! When you extend nails, with acrylic or gel or whatever, do you need to cut your natural nails back so short? I like my long natural nails, but I'd like to extend them too, and I thought it would help them grow better under it too, wouldn't it? Is there a reason the nails are always very, very short in all the videos? i can't see why not, when you use forms instead of tips, but I'm not a nail tech!! I'd love to see if it was possible to extend an already long natural nail.. thank you in advance!
I have long nature nails, too. I watched many nail art videos but no one did on long nature nail. I think it's because the nature nails can't grow up all the same, like me, I got some fingers nails twist a little bit, the sidewalls are different. and nature nails don't have the apache to hold the strength. the most important thing is, if nail breaks, it will hurt ur nail bed even the whole nail.
Hi Kirsty, did you announce the winner from your second "In bed with Kirsty" yet? It was an acrylic kit but not a starter one i think. I've checked and I can't see it anywhere. Thanks.
Big fan, always looking out for new videos! I don't know if you have done this but would like to see you do a set of acrylic or gel on your non dominant hand! I'm learning through your videos, doing my own nails but have a hard time downing my right hand with my left since I'm a righty! Would like your tips and advice! Love love your work! And your spunk! Keep up the good work!!!
I'm a total noob so don't mind this question, but WHY do you extend the nail bed? It looks odd to me, but if there's a reason for it, then whatever! :)
I just checked and you change settings on by right clicking the CC's on the video. but there is not an option to move them, you can however change the size and opacity.
video desperately needed for led lamps curing gel. scares me to death with the heat spikes. why would you have to take your hand out? Educators say it is too hot because too thick? pleaseeeee enlighten us. Thanks Kirsty. x
lovely but I got the same results with gel using white nail tips-isn't it so much quicker and easier to use tips? whats the pros /cons of forms versus tips (asking you nail tech professionals)
that is very true and the exact issue I have with tips especially colored tips you pretty much have to do a new set everytime as you cant just do a fill
I would like to see how to refill or repair this nail in few weeks. I hope this wouldn't be a big problem. However, I really enjoy watching Kirsty doing nails, she explains everything she is doing. Thank you Kirsty. Love you. 😊
You work at salon shades!! You did one of my princess pamper parties in 2014 and put sparkles in my hair!! Xx
always love watching your videos...I binge watch them back to back all day.. Addict? yes...very much so! haha. I have been doing my own as well as others nails for over 16 years now. Thank you so much for posting this video. it helps me so much. I'm a beginner & I struggle so much with the smile line. Thank you. and I look forward in seeing more of ur creations. God bless you.

Love love love your hair! Thank you for the video.
Is it just me or did the nails change from one finger to the other? At about 3:30??
Love your videos Kirsty
they did... footage from prev video was repeated
I think they reused the footage from the last gel nail vid
It did didn't it! It went from her middle finger right when she was taking off the form to her pointer finger on her other hand! lmao
then it went back to her middle finger....#witchcraft
I noticed it as well.....from sculpting the middle finger and pinching it, to filing and buffing the index finger and back to the middle finger again. Maybe it's a test to see how well we're paying attention to Kirsty's videos. ;)
l love this sort of nail. you make it look so easy x
This is something I really can't do. Thanks for the video, I will try doing it your way. You are an amazing artist. Is there anything you can't do lol xx
Love love love, could u do a soak off gel nails, and explain all the types of gels plzzzzz kirsty xx
gotta love Kristy nail triangle shape
I'm so glad to finally see a hard gel extension on a form! I never use acrylic because of the smell, so I love this! Quick question - can't you just go straight to using the cover pink and skip the clear builder and sculpture gels? What would be the benefit of using those?
The coloured gels are a slightly different consistency to the clear builder and the sculpture gel is thicker, so it keeps it's shape for longer before curing :)
Thank you!! Could I simply use a really thick hard pink builder gel so Id only need one product or would that be technically incorrect?
I think your probably the best nail designer I have ever come across .... like so unbelievable . I am starting out in nails and your Chanel helps me more than anyone !
I love your videos and I watch them all the time. Could you make a video about the different gels and their uses and the differences between them. Thanks
Thanks for the definition on the two products I wondered.
you skills never stop!?!!!

Absolutely fabulous work :))
Hi Kirsty. Do you find that working a full set like this using Gel more time consuming than with Acrylic?? xxx
I sculpt gel nails it's so hard but so worth it you make it look easy 😂
Gel seems like it is harder to work with than acrylic and I'm sure you could have done an acrylic nail to look just like the gel nail. Is one better than the other or one more preferred for some reason?
Gorgeous
Yesssss good job I loooove this ❤️❤️❤️❤️
great job love it👌
love it! thanx!
Hi when will u work on some one who has their own natural long nails,.I would love 2 see that.Thank u😄
Very nice!!!!
such beautiful nails. are there any benefits of gel nails over acrylics? Gel nails look so hard.
justacommentism1 It's pretty much preference. I think gel is way easier than acrylic to me. Plus it doesn't smell and you can work with it as long as you'd like because it doesn't set until you want it to.
Hi Kristy I am allergic to acrylic but could I use hard or sculpching gel instead.
muy padre ,me encanto quiero llegar como tu muy inspiradora para las uñas ,que DIOS te bendiga siempre te mando un fuerte abrazo y much kisses
I’m learning. How do you stop shrinkage? I’m struggling with this x
love it!
Loved the video😂
Had to check back to this video, I used the white and cover pink and they didn't cure properly at all 😭 totally ruined a set of nails, thought it may have been cause I used an LED lamp but I cured way longer than in this video. Absolutely love the Acrylic products though!
you need uv lamp
Is possible to have A video in which Kirsty does nails only using a starter kit from naio nails website?
Kirsten you're killing me is there anyone in the Bay Area that can do a beautiful French set like this on my nails with GEL?!
Kirsty*
I have a question. What's the real difference between builder gel and hard gel? I mean can you do a full nail/set with either or. Or are they both specifically for a purpose, or is it really the tech or customers preference?
one i believe is thicker and stronger for building and the other just hard and thinner. builder would move less and only self level slightly, for creating apex
I just did my first "French" with my gel and glitter!
Hi Kirsty, if u use normal nail varnish can u top coat it with clear gel polish to add shine and make it last longer? Or dose it not work X
the polish have to bé 100%dry
Thank you lovely xx
hi I've been watching your videos they are really good I'm hoping to learn how to do nails can you give me any tips I do my own nails hope to hear from you Emma 😊
so nice 😍
When you are doing more than one coat of gel polish do you wipe off the sticky layer and then do another coat or just leave the sticky layer on
if you are using coloured gel polishes, I would recommend leaving the sticky layer on before applying the next coat as removing it can remove colour :)
I've been having a problem when doing nails on myself they always seem to lift real quickly I take away the sine off the nail I push the cuticle and I add dehydrator and two coats of primer. Beijos do Brasil!!!😙
very pretty! I love all of your work, but I'm wondering why you extend the smile line so far. I mean, it extends past the end of your finger which makes it look really unnatural.
kirsty what brand uv/led lamp do you use
Do u have to have the builder gel along with the sculpting gel
What product do u use to clean up your brush when u are going to use an other product??
Great video again Kirsty, thanks!
When you extend nails, with acrylic or gel or whatever, do you need to cut your natural nails back so short? I'm wondering the same myself as I have long natural nails!
I have long nature nails, too. I watched many nail art videos but no one did on long nature nail. I sculpt mine past my long natural nails. Never any problems. :)
Fibre glass is great to use on natural nails that are long aswell
Bravo Kristna :-* Frenc EXSTRA :-* :-)
Can you show us how you remove the hard gel please kirsty xx
Is it possible to do a video on nail shaping and filing?
and sidewall and cuticle application. That would be a great video
Very Nice. Looking good.
there was a Sally Hanson's nail Polish add before this XD and I was like "A nail polish add before a nail art tutorial? XD how ironic"
Does somebody else notice that they just put another video in this video?
Hi Kirsty, did you announce the winner from your second "In bed with Kirsty" yet? It was an acrylic kit but not a starter one i think. I've checked and I can't see it anywhere. Thanks.
woohoo!!!
so can a use builder gel to keep on diamonds on the acrylic nails? i have led lamp at home xxx
beauiful I'm sending it to who's doing my nails .
Keep up the good work!!!
how do you determine whether to use gel or acrylic? what's the difference between the two?
000snow000 acrylic lasts slightly longer, but doesn't need a lamp. Gel is better for your nails but is a harder to do
is the gel more delicate than acrylic when it comes to filing?
gel is easier to file than acrylic.
Why does sculpting gel need a UV lamp or is this just for Naio products ?
can u use Base and top coat on scalpture uv gel nail ? xx
I'm so used to seeing you work with acrylic (and sometimes acrygel) that seeing you use gel looks completely strange lol.
I'm a total noob so don't mind this question, but WHY do you extend the nail bed? It looks odd to me, but if there's a reason for it, then whatever! :)
Because it looks awesome.
FreetheTongue it makes the nail bed longer and narrower looking, it's very dainty and makes the nail slimmer looking💅🏼
how to infill the gel nail done with tips? are we supposed to remove the tips and put new ones all over again?
Can you use uv builder gels in a led lamp?
❤❤❤
would you be able to put the captions at the top of the video instead of the bottom? they cover up what Kirsty is doing
I'm not sure how to do that, but i will have a look into it.
Thanks Kirsty. x
may i ask what would happen of you left your hand in the lamp more then like 2 mins?
Babybop224 from minecraft Nothing. Lol
What's the pinching tool for?
number of brushes plz which u r using for the gel.
This looks so hard to work with. Granted it won't set so you have time to get it where you want it but still.
lovely but I got the same results with gel using white nail tips-isn't it so much quicker and easier to use tips? whats the pros /cons of forms versus tips (asking you nail tech professionals)
white tips are basic, you can't change the smile line to your liking with tips either. I think it's preference.
you also have endless possibilities with using forms.
also with white tips you can't really extend the nail bed and make a deep smile line.😉
that is very true and the exact issue I have with tips especially colored tips you pretty much have to do a new set everytime as you cant just do a fill
+RiRi Ray yeah, or is hard to get an exact match of colored acrylics and tips.
