The idea of fiction always escalating has worked for thousands of years! Aristotle wrote in Poetics that in drama, actions need consequences, then reactions to those, and more consequences, etc. Even the South Park guys outline their scripts with “Therefore” and “But” to keep each scene flowing into the next.
He's woke, frequently wrong, never cites his "sources", makes huge irrational conclusions, writes about things OT and irrelevant to his main topic to pad his books, and he flaunts personal bias even when confronted with alternative science. He's a pop culture storyteller. Nothing more. His time has come and gone. Even his most loyal of fans cringe frequently when trying to find value in his latest book "revenge of the tipping point."
Disagree depending on your background. Ultimately, Taleb is a "pop" writer. If you arent familiar with statistics, his books are good for a general audience as an intro or for sparking interest. But, he ultimately doesnt have a background in hard mathematics or statistics (his phd was in management science) and many of his claims or discussions are somewhat oblivious as a result. Still good books however.
