This show is actually a masterpiece. It is perfect in every way. It’s amazing for your mental health and for self-improvement, and it will make you cry. This anime got me through a lot of stress and anxiety, and it’s hard to explain the concept. It’s education mixed with the impossible task of killing a super being by the end of the school year whilst he, the super being, will play the role as their teacher. He cares about them, but still says that he will end the world by their graduation if they do not kill him. He cares about teaching and improving every students’ situation whether it be education struggles or personal struggles. He is actually the perfect teacher.

Assassination Classroom is one of my favorite animes out there. the yellow tentacle creature is called "Koro-sensei" meaning un-killable teacher, he's basically overpowered and has the ability to blow the entire earth in the next 365 days. it's basically about koro-sensei destroying 70% of the moon leaving it into a crescent moon and he asked the government to become the teacher of the kunugigagoka junior high class 3-e that is filled with students who broke school regulations and couldn't keep up their high grades, they are basically the lowest and undesirable class of the entire school and their own classroom is even located on the top of a hill near the main campus, the e-class are also referred to as the "end class". koro-sensei becomes the homeroom teacher of the class 3-e and he also teaches them how to assassinate him. as time passes by, he soon also teaches the students the importance of life and other meaningful things, he helps the students grow to become better and even helps with their personal problems like how he helped the main character named nagisa with his own personal problem with his mother. it's a very good series that I definitely recommend for you to watch, it's a rollercoaster of emotions and you'll definitely love koro-sensei alot.
Assassination classroom is one of my comfort animes. Yes it's about a class that's learning to become assassins so they can kill their teacher. But they make it so fun and wholesome even tho they talk about serious topics as well. The show is just amazing
Koro-sensei (the yellow blob guy) might actually be the best teacher material I saw in a manga/anime since Onizuka from GTO. The show itself is very well balanced between action, fun and emotion with the students that spend the whole year with their teacher, striving to grow with his guidance while trying to kill him (with his guidance as well 😂)
I second that. That manga/anime is a love letter to the profession of teacher 😁 I wouldn't be surprised if some kids aimed to become teachers because of the anime.
This show is incredible. There's a darkness that's hinted at but continues to leave you guessing for a long time. But when it finally delivers, man it really delivers. One of my top 10 most satisfying anime episodes for sure.
10:04 This part of the opening makes me tear up no matter how many times I see it. Nagisa turns around and sees Koro-sensei but then he turns around once more and realises that Koro-sensei is gone.
This show surprised the hell out if me. It's so emotional and I highly recommend it. Also, thank you, Bye Bye Yesterday will be stuck in my head for the rest of the day.
As a manga reader I don't understand this sentiment. Surely there are dozens of better anime if you want something wholesome that makes you cry? Again, I read this manga but it never once made me cry.

Please watch this at some point! This anime is so close to my heart and my favourite of all time. This show hit that perfect moment in time where I myself was in a similar place in school as the characters, fear of the unknown, fear of not being able to live up to expectations etc. Watching Season 2 weekly and seeing the countdown in the opening go down with each episode as I edged closer to the end of my school years was heartbreaking. Highly recommend this show. Its so wholesome! Teaches great life lessons, great characters! Its brilliant! The show is really lighthearted but as it goes on it gets deeper and discusses some really depressing and heavy topics relating to abusive parents/bullying etc. This show is just fantastic!
I went into this anime not knowing what to expect and its now one of my favorite anime of all time. i re-watch it once every year and I can't listen to the 4th opening without crying to this day. you look at the title or the yellow tentacle dude and it throws you off of what is a beautiful show packed with emotion and an amazing story. you grow to care about the characters and by the end you don't want the show to end.
This anime, hands down a very good comedy/action anime with an awesome writing to each character. The Opening gives you the vibes of how much it went down throughout the series later on.
This is one of the anime that is adore by many many anime fans that have watched this. Truly an anime that is a must watch for those who haven't seen it before!
Koro-sensei isn't creepy, he's the best and most normal teacher! This is one show where once I finished it I had to take a long breather because I was a mess. This show has it's silly parts, it's dark parts and it's sad parts and oh boy are the sad parts *sad.* I would recommend this show to anyone.
I agree with you, these openings are so weird but so relevant with the show. It's basically like "Let's have some fun with becoming professional killers" 😆 But it's a really good show with a good character progression and it's also an excellent guide to self-confidence. Also, the creepy yellow squid is actually the biggest threat for humanity but also the best teacher in the world. Confusing enough ? 🙃
Every anime fan should watch AC but especially every anime fan who is a teacher of younger ppl - the brilliance of this show is its approach to teaching philosophy - there are many important, significant lessons for everyone, but teachers especially - the ultimate one being that your goal is not to make your students good people or even as good at what you're teaching as you - it's to make them better than you, to train them to overtake you. That's the whole point of teaching, and unfortunately, it's not one we reenforce much in our approach to education. This show is a masterclass in how to be a teacher, not just in name, but at heart.
The contradiction of the subject matter and the actual feel is absolutly meant to be. This show is a lot of fun to watch and knows how to get you invested so the emotional stuff truly hits hard. One of the only animes that got me crying so bad.
This anime is special. It's one of those shows with such a bonkers concept and executed so well that makes it super memorable. It's also an excellent example of a show that is best fit for the medium of anime. It would be really hard to pull this kind of thing off in live action.
“ This anime is good! I’ve watched it and the ending.. I would like to see you watch this! Although I think you wouldn’t since you get a lot of other requests! But if you ever want to watch this! Please tell me! The anime’s mostly filled with comedy and seriousness. “
This anime... i wish i could have watched it in my pre 15 years ... but it was not even out yet. It is a good anime about how to grow up and in which direction one should try to focus himself. Just a good anime and one of my top 15.-s .The songs well are not really the best but it is just anime about life lessions. And yeeeaaaah you got it right at 3:25 cause it is what it is.... partly. Ou yes, this anime is finished just so you know. In reality i even have the whole manga series of this show in physical form :D in english of course :D so yes i really love it.
Also, if you in "darker Typ Animes" look "Owari no Seraph" or how it pronounce in english " Seraph of the END" , this is really heavy Stuff. And the freaking Melodies in it killing my skin everytime.
This was se the first anime that i see, when i adopted my dog, she was a golden, this year in 19 of april, she died, so i watched this anime another time, this hurt a lot.
To answer your question about the music, it was sung by the voice actors of the main students. Many anime openings and endings are also sung by the voice actor/s working on the show. To give a recent example, a version of "We are" from One Piece was also sung by the voice actors and used as an opening to the show
Spoiler free synopsis. The squid monster thing (named Koro Sensei by his students) is an omnipotent creature capable of moving at Mach 20, is virtually unkillable, and incredibly powerful. He has already destroyed 70% of the moon, and has threatened to destroy the Earth in 1 year. The task of assassinating him has fallen to 3E, a class of delinquents and dropouts at a prestigious school. A class that KS has decided to teach in his 1 year gap. He teaches the class how to live and improve, and professional assassin's teach the children how to kill their target....their teacher
Luke, you amazing beautiful person!!! Finally checking out Assasination Classroom?! THIS IS AWESOME. You need to watch this man. This is so good for the heart. After video edit: Yes, the cast sings. This show is something that is short and sweet. Definitely worth a watch.
man, even after all these years i still bawl my eyes out when i listen to the last opening, bye bye yesterday. this was such a very well done show with very nice pacing and voice acting. The last op really ties up the whole show nicely with nice a little ribbon and does not fail to make me cry after knowing the ending(i read the manga). and yes, as you assumed the openings are sang by the main casts, 5 of them specifically. they're just a made up unit just for the sake of this anime(which is quite a common practice in the last 10 years). this is one the most inspirational and motivational show ever made aside from Great Teacher Onizuka
Its quite the dark TBH. Essentialy a alian arrives on earth and unlass the classroom kills him under a timelimit he will destroy the moon.(And with it gone the earth is also doomed)
Ngl completely surprising how accurate your guesses were. Its a very light-hearted series with a dark undertone that shows through more and more as the series goes on till we come to the climax we all knew was coming and yet dreaded so. The story shows how someone can make a difference in anothers life, skills come in different shapes and sizes and most of all its about finding yourself. A truly special series. Touched my heart forever....
The whole premise of this show, not necessarily a spoiler, is that the kids have to kill their teacher before graduation in order to save the world. Hence the violent lyrics and imagery.
One of the best comedy anime I ever watched 😁 The last opening always has me on tears. It's really something else :D Oh yeah, all the openings are sang by the voice actors, which is why there are so many voices.
These ops slap in such a unique way. You rarely see multiple singer ops, and it fits here so well because of the story centering around the entire class. It really feels like a team anthem for every season.
1:25 yes yes they do All the ops are infact sung by five cast members who also voice the characters, two main characters (karma and nagisa, do not fight me on this) and the other three side characters (maehara, kayano and sugino) And the tone is actually dark but they show it to be light but if you dig just below the surface of the anime you can see some really really dark stuff, there are whole dark arcs in the show especially the mid-season and season finales. This show is definitely worth checking out and plot is amazing and the whole cast of characters are amazing and endearing!! It is one of my comfort anime it will make you laugh and cry!! But as always check out the sub first Edit: 10:11 well they do but that's not the ending 🙃
Call of the night 1 opening and 1 ending (I'll never stop recommending that). Also, Love is War (3 ops, it is also known as Kaguya-sama) and Summertime render (2 ops and 2 eds, especially the endings in this one are phenomenal)
Ansatsu Kyoshitsu is a manga/anime that i will never forget. The way it deals with it's subject and how it can weave trough serious moments and humor is very well done. The last chapters are all amazing and i love how it ended.
NO SPOILERS - Assassination Classroom was one of those anime whose premise seemed so idiotic that I avoided it. Then after seeing so many people reacting to it, I decided to give it a try when I was bored one night. I ended up being sorry I hadn't watched it sooner. Add'l info: it was only a few seasons because it told a complete story without filler to try to drag it out for years.
not trying to kill people... in opening two it straight said, "our target is our teacher". That's the only one they're training to kill, because if they're unable to do so by a certain time, it means the end of everything. It's a strange, but enjoyable show.
So there's a thing in the anime community called the "Three Episode Rule" and the rule essentially states that if an anime peaks your interest but you're not convinced you'd enjoy it, watch the first three episodes before casting judgement. I highly recommend utilizing this principle when selecting which anime to watch as your list is getting ever longer. Would also highly recommend selecting a few to watch in your free time, because you deserve it, and we'll all understand! Just make sure to give us your thoughts in a recap or something.
Also, you should react to the Darker than Black OP next. If you ultimately watch the show, stop after season 1. Writers went a little off the rails with season 2 and not in an "interesting and creative" way..
the basic gist for this series (which is a must see, as others have pointed out) is their teacher is some yellow octopus thing resulted from experimentations. capable of traveling at mach 5 speeds. he admits to destroying like 90% of the moon, which is what's leaving it in a permanent crescent appearance. he threatens the world's governments that he'll do the same to earth come next year. so to give the world a chance, he teaches and also trains a class to help them excel in their studies, while also giving them the tools to kill him before he ends the world. but since this is anime, the story goes much deeper than that as each episode progresses
I have watched all of your Anime OPs, yet this one is the first one I'm commenting on, an for good reason! All I have to say to say is that this Anime is a great introduction to the world of Anime! Easily being in my Top 5 most recommended to people who are new, new-ish, and veterans alike. It's an enjoyable ride-along from the start, seeing these group of high schoolers learn, develop, train, and grow. At times it gets seriously real, sometimes even hitting a bit to close to home but in a comforting way, especially for teens, young adults, and mature adults. To top it off, it's also one of the VERY few Animes that follow the manga to the end! As others may have said already, this Anime truly is a masterpiece. If it hasn't been done yet, do a twitch poll to see what Anime to watch next. Put this one in the running.
The look of pure confusion on your face during the first opening was priceless, lol. But really I cannot reccomend this anime enough. Its not too long and its incredible. A fair amount of action and comedy, with surprisingly good dark and emotional moment as well.
Damn, I'm rewatching Assassination Classroom right now and every time I watch the opening, I think how would you react to it without knowing what the anime is about ahah :D These songs seem weird in the beginning but then you watch them every episode and dance lol. Also the openings don't fool you, the show is really lighthearted and comedic most of the time. But at the same time, these guys need to kill an unkillable life form in a year, because he has already destroyed the moon and will destroy the Earth. The killer will get 10 billion for saving the earth. But while everyone is trying to kill this creature, he is also a very good teacher. All in all, this anime is very unique and memorable.
This show will always hold a special place I my heart. It's not perfect but it's got so much damn charm heart and emotion. I watched this show while studying to be a teacher and serves as a reminder of how important it is to have a teacher that genuinely cares about you, and I do my best to emulate that part of koro sensei, to mixed success but I try.
This anime has a very well known meme within the anime community "When an Assasination anime teach u more life lessons than schools" 😂😂 Also u might notice the opening vibe kinda change when u entered the 3rd opening (which allign with the story progression)
I watched this anime years ago, I hadn't watched any opening of this anime years ago too, but still knowing that the next opening you were going to see was the last one I thought "oh no, not this one, this one hurts". And man, when the part where they say "bye bye yesterday" started, it definitely made me cry. It's as if the end of this anime was so sad that listening to the opening activates a switch that you can't help it and it makes you feel blue. I don't know if I explained myself well, because I don't speak english, but I just wanted to say that this anime is incredible from beginning to end.
Recommend u to watch this anime so much, this anime is one of my fav list. so many things i like in this anime, especially when it comes to 'teamwork'. Starting from class students who are not care about each other, then taught to defend themselves, not to be afraid of people who are more powerful or scary. until they are also taught about the importance of teamwork n friendships, where each person has different expertise but when put together it was incredible. The bond that has been formed between all the characters so strong will make us who watch it felt very warm and happy but also sad :)
Well... the teacher in this anime isn't like any teacher I've seen before! 🤣

It's lighthearted but it surely can make you cry like a baby. It is really good, one of those stories that stays with you forever.
I can't listen to Bye Bye Yesterday without tearing up. This is such a good show.
This anime is really good. It is very light hearted at times while it is also pretty sad at other times
The Happiness,The Memories and The Feels ahhhh i think I'm gonna Cry A River again 😭😭😭
I kind of love the fact that he missed the second opening saying twice that “our target is our teacher”.
Ado - Fleeting Lullaby
This is a crazy song, you will absolutely not be disappointed
yes, this anime is about assassination practice. and the quality of the story is very dark, emotional. masterpiece
The contradiction of the subject matter and the actual feel is absolutly meant to be. This show is a lot of fun to watch and knows how to get you invested so the emotional stuff truly hits hard. One of the only animes that got me crying so bad.
I'm only going to say one thing, JUST WATCH THIS ANIME, ITS A MASTERPIECE 😭❤
HELL YEEEEAH
Still one of my favorite animes, and damn the ST of this anime is great
This anime is special. It's one of those shows with such a bonkers concept and executed so well that makes it super memorable.
It's also an excellent example of a show that is best fit for the medium of anime. It would be really hard to pull this kind of thing off in live action.
12:27 Oh, him? Don't worry, that's just Koro Sensei.
At the end of the fourth opening song I cried until my eyes were dry🥲💔
This was se the first anime that i see, when i adopted my dog, she was a golden, this year in 19 of april, she died, so i watched this anime another time, this hurt a lot.
To answer your question about the music, it was sung by the voice actors of the main students. Many anime openings and endings are also sung by the voice actor/s working on the show. To give a recent example, a version of "We are" from One Piece was also sung by the voice actors and used as an opening to the show
"This guy looks like someone who'd eat you.." Ouch thts a heavy assumption
Damn, that last frame of the last opening 💔💔💔
Last op made me emotional everytime.
is it only me or does opening 4 hit hard once you finish the anime, i actually felt like crying reading the lyrics
I have never clicked a video so fast. I LOVE Assassination Classroom!!! It's a really great anime.
Luke, you amazing beautiful person!!! Finally checking out Assasination Classroom?! THIS IS AWESOME. You need to watch this man. This is so good for the heart.
After video edit: Yes, the cast sings. This show is something that is short and sweet. Definitely worth a watch.
Bye bye yesterday 😭
Absolutely loved your confused face XD
Speaks louder that any words
Ending broke my heart💖
omg i forgot abut this series this anime was so fun
Bro i am crying just listening to the Opening
I CAN NEVER GRT OVER THR DANCE THEY DO IN THE FIRST ONE 💀
bye bye yesterday is such a kicker ngl, i feel like i'd be invested even if i didn't watch it
This anime is one of the greatest ones that I watched in my opinion
The ending got me soooo hard emotionally.
This show is amazing and very much worth the watch. I recommend it highly. It will make you cry. Really hope you watch this one with us.
If you haven't yet, I really really think you should watch it, it's a great anime!!
man, even after all these years i still bawl my eyes out when i listen to the last opening, bye bye yesterday. this was such a very well done show with very nice pacing and voice acting.
Can't recommend this enough as your next anime.
Ngl ive cried to Koro-sensei (the yellow thing)
I haven’t seen this anime in a while can’t wait you should check out bungou stray dogs next
you missed a very important line in the second opening: the target is their teacher
One of the best comedy anime I ever watched 😁
The last opening always has me on tears. It's really something else :D
Oh yeah, all the openings are sang by the voice actors, which is why there are so many voices.
These ops slap in such a unique way. You rarely see multiple singer ops, and it fits here so well because of the story centering around the entire class. It really feels like a team anthem for every season.
Oh my... the last one never fails to get me emotional. When you know, it's heartbreaking. And the lyrics... Probably my favorite one out of the bunch.
What can I say is that Assassination Classroom is an absolute rollercoster of emotions. And Koro-sensei is one of my favourites anime characters ever.
It's a VERY GOOD anime, recommended
I really love how it the song goes from happy go lucky song into more and more melodic and at the end it's just bitter sweet graduation song
1:25 yes yes they do
All the ops are infact sung by five cast members who also voice the characters, two main characters (karma and nagisa, do not fight me on this) and the other three side characters (maehara, kayano and sugino)
And the tone is actually dark but they show it to be light but if you dig just below the surface of the anime you can see some really really dark stuff, there are whole dark arcs in the show especially the mid-season and season finales. This show is definitely worth checking out and plot is amazing and the whole cast of characters are amazing and endearing!! It is one of my comfort anime it will make you laugh and cry!! But as always check out the sub first
Edit: 10:11 well they do but that's not the ending 🙃
Assassination classroom is one of my favourites. I laughed and cried a lot during this show. Soooo good
not trying to kill people... in opening two it straight said, "our target is our teacher". That's the only one they're training to kill, because if they're unable to do so by a certain time, it means the end of everything. It's a strange, but enjoyable show.
This is one of my favourite anime, i never would've thought this anime will make me cry
I NEED YOU TOO REACT TO THISS
Damn, I'm rewatching Assassination Classroom right now and every time I watch the opening, I think how would you react to it without knowing what the anime is about ahah :D
These songs seem weird in the beginning but then you watch them every episode and dance lol.
Ya the name of the anime gave alot away about the anime.
This anime has a very well known meme within the anime community "When an Assasination anime teach u more life lessons than schools" 😂😂
Also u might notice the opening vibe kinda change when u entered the 3rd opening (which allign with the story progression)
thank you for reacting to this its one of my all time favorite animes
escucho el segundo opening y ya estoy llorando. No supero este anime.
The bond that has been formed between all the characters so strong will make us who watch it felt very warm and happy but also sad :)
i love love LOVE assassination classroom and im so glad youre reacting to this!!!
So many of your questions are covered in the first 5 minutes of the show, massive recommend
This is a really good anime that is funny and has good action scenes and actually has a really good ending.
In my opinion, even if you dont react to it, you should watch it
I remember seeing the first op once and having the exact same reaction, and now its one of my favourite anime ever.
Bro figured out the beach episode rule 💀
