    Were I preserving/displaying this older version of Old Glory, I would have made the display case hermetically sealed/vacuum sealed with ultraviolet light-proof glass. If the flag's fabric is already in such a delicate condition, this type of containment is necessary to halt further future deterioration/discoloration. Of course, these precautions increase the costs. It really depends on how valuable the protected object is to the owner. In any case, as an old military retiree, I salute this couple for respecting our republic's magnificent Star Spangled Banner!
