I may get this for my rollback tow truck. I have already encountered a problem with two all wheel drive vehicles that needed to be quickly towed from an interstate. I had to call in a second flatbed for this job because of that. If I had this wonderful dolly, I could have done it without another truck.
Rollback? Flatbed? You should have this dolly already if you have a wheel lift. The 2 Flatbed I used to drive had them. They were a bitch to get out from under the bed since I'm 6'7" but they were there
When you drop the vehicle, you should use the bar to slowly drop each tire. You just pulled the handles and let it slam down. That will damage them faster. Slow and easy.
These are not like in the ditch dollies. In the ditch you can release the locking mechanism and pull the bar slowly but you can’t do that on these. Once you pull that handle all that pressure drops fast.
For what a set of those cost you would be 2/3 the way to a nice trailer. Not trying to be a smart ass I'm just saying. Plus you aren't supposed to go over 65mph on them.
I wonder who are you talking to I hoping not to yourself I know sometimes we do that atlease not in public but other than that nice video keep it coming bro
@@cumes80 your alright with me.... But I have a question to ask them portable wheels that your using for the back can a person buy those separate and what is the price
You do realize they automatically lock in place you don't need to jam them down like that unless you already broke them by doing that slow and easy not jamming them down like that
Buen video me towman
Fast as to he can reach highway speeds with this rig without even putting car in neutral which is not recomended to do speeds like that with vehicles in neutral.
Once you use your pullover bar, never, ever leave it in the dolly. Take it out, then set your locks. Obviously you have been hit in the head a couple of times. The dollies should be closer to the rims, shorten your axel's. Where's your straps?
Aren't those safety ratchets supposed to be turned inward to engage before the pullover? So while you're doing the pull over even if you lose grip the ratchets will catch it and avoid you getting hit.
You can't turn them inward until the wheels are pulled up. The Axel's need to be shorten, the placement of the Axel's need to be closer also to obtain higher clearance. But the big mistake is leaving the pullover bar in the slot.
@@terryschneider7344 yes you can. I use them on a daily basis. Not just for safety, but you can do one or two clicks if the car is so close to a wall, that if in the event you are not able to full engage the wheels. Then use your controls, suck the care i. Away from the wall, and finish the lift. Just go to collins's website. They are the authorities on the proper use of there equipment. I'm not condoning using them incorrectly, but if you have to live in a gray area for a moment, its better to know the rules before you break them.
@@nathanrotar5012 I just checked the Collins videos. You're right. The way the dollies are operated on the video is not fully utilizing the Collins dolly "redundant" safety. Skipping that safety ratchets might cause a whack to the head one day 😬
You should have spent more time on it and made more pieces and make it even more complicated .And its 4 ft wider than the car. Is that even legal? And where is the demo of this in use? Lame.
If you used your head for more than a hat rack you would understand .. these are adjustable to width as well as to tire size on the vehicle being towed .. as with anything ..some people aren't good at what they are doing and unfortunately some people can't think for themselves and take things at face value ... if the shoe fits ..
This also isn't a new product they have been in use on recovery vehicles for decades ..usually they are for cars that have no wheels that will roll on the rear .. or should I say originally.. now there are roll backs and what not so they don't get used as much
really really well shown how one works really excellent done by you 😊😊😊👌👌👌👌👌❤️❤️

amazing video presentation brother!! stay safe! Puro freeway

Excellent work
Why in the World would you leave the pry bar in after you pull over. 5.23 - 5.50 in video. Are you just looking for that bar to hit you in your Head?

I love how people comment shit they dont know about
I use this daylie and no reason to slam your equipment like that, listen to the guy on to and start using the bar
Let's say if possible ,how can I stop a tow company from using that device ? Can I use a tire boot?
Na I can still get it
Can you tow a Ford f150 70 mph down the highway with the front tires on the ground without one of these or is that dangerous?
55 mph on highway
Excellent video. And you are a professional by all means
No Safety here!
Out of curiosity if I wanted to tow with a regular ball tow dolly, and with these for a show car how well would that work out?

The dolly is about $1k a nice trailer is $6k
I am wondering the same thing. Will it work?????
@@scootersonlyrepair6773 new those dollies are 3600 dollars there abouts.. I have a set that I bought used for 100 dollars .. figure that out
What would you do if the car is backed in with emergency brake up
I'm in a rollback I'd drag it if repo
Inefficient at the fullest
This is how to NOT do it! Very dangerous!
That was the "how to using"

Tom Hanks ✌🏻Of course it does tie up well with straps 👍🏻

What about strapping the wheel to the dolly
Downvoted!
And look at those bent quick release handles.

Alfonso Camacho 55 mph 🛣 en el FREEWEY on the highway
Dolly straps????
Wow
The only thing I don’t get is that the dollies aren’t secured but you put straps on the front wheels and safety chains.
Your supposed to strap each side down.
Your definitely right but I’ve been towing for 16yrs and NEVER USED STRAPS FOR DOLLIES NEVER 👎🏽 A WAIST OF TIME
I definitely understand that. Everyone has their own choice of using straps or not. I just prefer using them.
It's not a waste of time or a choice in az. Its a $600.00 fine
Seen in previous videos This is little complicated one. There are somany easy ways to tow the vehicle.

You are crazy to leave the crank up bar on the dolies to put yourlocks on i gess you havent been hit by one yet you will learn
That’s cause he’s supposed to engage the lock before lifting. It’s a ratchet system to prevent the bar from coming back at you.
