I live in the US and I can honestly say no one really knows of her... It is really devastating for me actually, because I absolutely ADORE her. I think America could truly love her she just hasn't done much in the US yet. I wish my friends knew of her so I could talk about her latest single or hairstyle ect. Also, it helps shes gorgeous. In my science class we were doing a study on what humans are attracted to. My teacher had a PowerPoint and one of the slides was on dimples. She first showed one of boys and then one of girls. Cheryl was on it twice. She didn't mean to do that. Every boy in class were swooning and saying she was the hottest one. They all said who is she. Cheryl Cole would be so popular here. I just sat there thinking about everyone in class already liked her not knowing who she is.

It is very stupid. No celeb is really "known" until they have a song that will break them out. Well image matters as well of course. Like none of us knew who the hell P!nk was or how she even wound up on our tv screens in 1999, but she had a break out song after years of very hard work. I think that with Cheryl Cole they should have given her time to really settle in and and get to know more than just L.A. and New York through those auditions on our version of the X Factor.
