I believe it’s the only undefeated season with a former 450 outdoor champ in the field as well (although Ferrandis had a terrible season for the most part).

Any previous AMA MX Champion can only race the riders that are in the season they win their championship. Jett has done EXACTLY the same as any previous AMA MX champion.

Not Historic, as was already done by Ricky then James, it puts him up there with the best though, and will be great to see how many more records he can catch and even beat. I'll call it Historic if he can do it again!

Jett has ACHIEVED what NO OTHER MX rider in MX racing history has. He joins no other mortals!!!! He has set a new benchmark in the sport, that no other rider is ever likely to repeat. Not Historic? ...really
What Jett has achieved today, he CAN'T do ever again. Another rookie, may have the chance.
