- Imagine an opportunity to hit the road and live an adventure you will talk about for the rest of your life. In this video Frank shares his story and adventures while giving us a tour of his $4500.00 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon DIY camper van RV. In his vanlife adventures he met many people whom he has admired over the years. His mentor Captain Mike gave him the push he needed to hit the road full time.

Yes Joe. Agreed
Love to hear his stories.
Yes, love hearing about travel stories for inspiration
That van is a classic . Good job on the inside . As with any vechicle that old should be checked out by a professional or anything you buy. You don’t want to buy someone’s problems .
Thank you for checking this out

Great job man! I’ve got a 85 vanagon myself and seeing this gives me a new look on it

I like it! Takes me back to my college days when 60s VW vans where the van to have. Took many a surfing trip in them!
😎✌🏻🤙🏻🤘🏻😎
Thank you Doris
I love this guy and love his camper. Brings back great memories of living in NJ. George in FL
Thank you very much
I think this has been my favorite tour! I like the van and Frank is a cool guy.
Thanks - that’s kind of ya!
Love this video and the van! Everything is so simple but it works! Better than some of these super fancy vans with all the gizmos!
Thank you Richard 👍🏽👍🏽
I love this guy, he is like a Jack Russell, all over the place and lovable.
Thank you for checking this out
Part of the charm of van life is buying food and different items along the way. A lot of food storage and cooking/prep is not a requirement for a super-fun time.
So true man
True
Planning on getting one of these exact beauties soon and taking it traveling after graduation, this helped give ideas on what I’ll need, thank you!!
Go for it .
Great video.
Thank you very much
ha - great name! "Manatee"
@@FrankLunaNJ I live in FLORIDA and the county name is manatee
Frank! this is perfect
Thanks Megan! Hope you’re doing well 😊
This dude gives me so much Steve-O vibe. 🤣🤣🤣 And he lives like that show Steve-O used to do. With the wild animals. Can't remember the name of the show now. The one he did after Jackass. DAMN I'm drawing a blank. Anyway. This dude is a straight Vibe. "Barnacles" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I left my comment too early in the video. I just noticed his Exhaust also had some "Barnacles". 🤣🤣
Thanks for checking this one out. Wildboyz
Lol amazing review. I sure do like to have some fun
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures there you go. That was the show I was thinking about. 🙌🏼🙌🏼

And SOLD. If this thing doesn’t go quick, I’ll be surprised! Best advertising someone could ask for.
Great bargain
OMG those curtains 😂🤣I work at JoAnn fabric and we sell that exact same fabric.
Sweet. Buy all of it.
Lol I’ll buy some more of it!
This Guy needs to have children. He would be a fun Dad.
Ha thanks Janina - my nephews and I have a blast!
Frank Luna I bet they do you a big child at heart and one day I can see You starting your own happy Family.

It's a good day for a good day my brotha !
Hahahahaha yessir!!!!
I’ve got a Promaster with lithium batteries. I love the system. And I love your channel. I’m interested in your new backup camera. “Do what excites you a lot and scares you a little” Way to grow!
Thank you very much for checking this out
Great video my friend.. another DIY job done by Jersey out back.. I sold that guy with the red van on the picture on your channel you need to catch up with that red Ford van and do an interview with him to catch up with him my friend I would love to see I need to be with the other one right next to his that red Ford van I think it was...
Oh awesome
Very inspiring guy! Thx for sharing
Thanks Janet! I appreciate that
loving the new intro man! looks good :D
Thank you very much
These are great for summer weather exploring.. there is a company in Quebec, Canada called Mars 5 that has small pop top class B like this.. on newer chassis - very very well built .. hoping to do a video on them.. because you can use them as your primary vehicle- not just a camper..
Another great video
Thank you 🙏🏼
Sorry not my cup of tea..But I'm not going to be uncool..I still gave it a like..😋
Thank you for checking this out. There are different vans for everyone’s likings
Hand pumps are the best for the tap ..a lot of van dwellers use the electric water pump tap.. it makes a lot of noise imagine getting up in the morning and you want to drink some more you can hear that loud noise of the motor just to turn the water on..
Yes very easy to install and no power required
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures so so true my friend so so true especially if you somewhere quiet and you're getting up late in the middle of the night to get the motor the last thing you want to hear is a loud motor noise.. not to mention you can sell your battery because you have less power to use.. great video my friend definitely great you got to catch up with that red Ford van that guy's friend had..
This guy is full of strories .....😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆
Lol Oyea - the story never stops
There's that New Jersey camper van again..😄😄😄😄
Thank you for checking this out
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures you are so so welcome my friend..
It’s always important to know what’s going into a conversion, gear wise, and then design around it!
Thank you for checking this out
God bless you!
Thank you
Are you selling this vanagan? I love these and this one is awesome the way you’ve set it up 💯🔥 basic and straight to the point 💯💥🔥💭❣️✌🏽
This van was sold to a viewer a few days after the video
4 years ago? Good luck finding any RV potential rig for a bargain right now. Pretty much everything is overinflated right now because apparently there is a high demand right now during the pandemic.
This is for sale today
Hi, Patrick, I’m new to your channel, but great video! Is there a Meetup Or FB group or caravans for mid-East Coast van lifers? I’m planning on going full-time soon, and am hoping to make some connections in advance to make the transition easier.
I wish there was more van activity on the east coast
Its VW Transporter T3, hello from Belarus)
Hello 👋🏼
Cheap and vanagon are never in the same thought
Thank you for checking this out
PATRICK, Hello,,this is different, not sure if VW still imports these anymore, but Isaw 2ndifferent VW Transporters completely fitted out 2 litre diesel with 6 speed granny @. £ 70.35. =US$ 93.950, but it wanted nothing These vehicles are larger . But those are not allowed here as is NOT A CLEAN BURNING DIESEL. CHEERS 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you for checking this out
Love did u stay in a campsite or off road in key west as I want to drive there in my suv camper - tips?
There are plenty of campsites through the keys that looked awesome. I generally just parked in a residential area for free and only hung at the van to sleep/eat.
I would love to find a VW Westy, get a Subaru engine swap, suspension upgrades and 4x4 conversion for the ultimate off road class b camper.
Great plan
Did I read this van is for sale? How much?!
This was sold. Pricing was shown at the beginning of the video
Nice intro ougrade
Thank you for checking this out
Patrick, long time viewer and sub. If I can get to Jersey will you show my van?. It's an 89 Ford Econoline. There's a video on Brother Toms Misguided Adventures channel titled Dean vanlifer from NC and his van good if you'd like a preview. currently coming from Montana\wyoming to home to see the family before I take off again but never been to New Jersey so would be a cool trip. Thanks for your consideration.
Dean, absolutely I would love to feature you in the channel. 👍🏽👍🏽
@@NewJerseyOutdoorAdventures excellent dude! I will head your direction on my fall trip and we can work out time, place, etc.
hmmmm not bad but decent and cheap
Thank you for checking in
Don't get the appeal of those stupid hard pumps.....how can you wash your hands??? A foot pump still conserves water, but you can regulate the flow.....and, wash BOTH your hands properly.
Not sure why one over the other
Lollll - my hygiene is pretty on point. I used things like hand sanitizer and wipes, not to mention, the dozens of restaurants and gyms I would frequent. You can be sure I was never worried about my hands being dirty. But, hey, I appreciate ya pointing that out.
Aren't you afraid of sleeping w the Windows open?
Thank you for checking this out. It’s not bad
Nah - I was never much afraid of that
OMG, what a waste of time
Thank you for checking it out
