YouTube Live 12-15-2024: The Fruitcake That Wouldn't Die

After two disasters as I attempted to make fruitcake -- getting sick on Wednesday, then my oven catching fire on Thursday -- this is the third time I'll be preparing a Christmas fruitcake on RUclips Live! My oven has been thoroughly cleaned out, and for a test run we'll be preparijng a fruitcake, to bake in a cast ironcake pan. This is a recipe I call "Magical Fruitcake." What's so magical about it? It's magical because this is a fruitcake people will actually want to eat! It doesn't have to be soaked with rum and aged for a month or more. Once the cake is ready, it can be eaten right away. And that's exactly why I'm making this fruitcake on a Sunday morning, so that I can take it to friends and family this afternoon. Here's hoping the third time, as they say, is the charm.
