- We are learning more about Miles Pfeffer, the 18-year-old from Bucks County who is charged with killing Temple University police officer Christopher Fitzgerald on Saturday night.
Pfeffer is charged with murder and is being held in Philadelphia's Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility without bail.

I'm 57. I wouldn't want to do an hour in jail. This kid will be in there the rest of his life. I can't imagine. I don't think he realizes how long that is. Unreal.
Kid is obviously unstable he's the type of person that gets off on violence, prison was made for men like this.
I completely agree that spending the rest of one's life in jail is a terrifying prospect, and it's difficult to comprehend the weight of that reality. I’d be willing to bet there’s definitely some father-son relationship issues here, if the father was even in this dude’s life. Now his life is basically over at age 18, so sad. I can’t imagine being this 18 year old waking up in a prison cell 50 years from now and realizing that even if he’s let out his life is scum of the earth quality at best! Sad all around.

I see a lot of people saying this kid had rich parents, but it's important to recognize that money and privilege are not always a safeguard against negative behavior. Even with all the resources in the world, a teenager can still make poor choices and seek trouble. We need to focus on providing young people with the support and guidance they need to make positive choices and address underlying issues that may contribute to negative behavior.
