  • Truman's Hardwood Floor Refinishing & Cleaning specializes in removing wax buildup from hardwood floors. Courtney Lee explains that this wax comes from an owner's DIY attempts to polish, protect, or refinish their floors using products they find in a hardware store that claim to revitalize flooring. The issue is that this wax sits on top of the wood instead of soaking into it. The wax will soften over time and bond to dirt and hold it there, which can make the wood dirty and change its color. It's nearly impossible to refinish the floor by sanding it, since the layers of wax are often thick and piled on.

    My Mom used to strip our floors monthly. It would take her all day on her hands and knees. This is the first time I seen it done by a machine. My Mom was kind of amazing!

      Poop is what's meant to be treated at the water facility. Not chemicals. That leads to more frequent water facility break down, which you end up paying in your water bill. I guess you're okay subsidizing these business with your own money.

    I can't stand linoleum in apartments where tenants have used floor waxes, usually multiple times over years, without removing all the dirt or previous layers. The floors look horrendous too.

    To anyone with concerns as to him dumping the waste into the toilet it is actually the preferred method as well as a legal requirement in most states for that water to be disposed of in either a toilet or sewer system. There are some exemptions to this but in general this is how it is done and don't worry that stuff absolutely will not cause any harm to the system at all....I've been doing carpets and hardwood/vct like this for a long time so I speak from professional experience.

    I refinish hardwood floors and if your having your floors resanded to bare wood you don't have to strip the wax first...we just fly over it with a heavy grit paper first and it comes right off.

    • @oobootysnacksoo9126
      @oobootysnacksoo9126 2 года назад +7

      Yea this seems totally bogus to me like they just juice customers for unneeded labor costs. And replace if unable to strip? Like wtf. Wood floors can be sanded numerous times throughout their life without replacement. And like you said I blow right through any wax, poly, paint or grime. Just go through more sand paper which is not expensive. Clog up the sander lol. They robbin mofos

      No, it's not from not cleaning your floors. People want that beautiful shiny look that you get right after your floors are refinished. So they use quick shine or something similar. It's like using too many beauty products on your hair, you end up needing clarifying shampoo.

  • @RobertSzasz
