  • In this video I revisit SwiftUI apps that were created using ChatGPT for coding and Midjourney for icon design. A year later I share the revenue these AI-generated apps have produced. Join me as I delve into the potential of AI in app development, assess the financial results, and share my insights on whether AI tools can genuinely enhance productivity and profitability.

    Great insight!
    You keep bringing up 20% of projects making any real impact. Sounds like the Pareto principle at work.

      It’s weird how that number appears so often. Something to it 🤔

    Hey Adam! Awesome work.
    I have a few questions below; can you please help me with them?
    1) What is the most beneficial method for in-app purchases?
    • Weekly and yearly subscriptions with a free trial for the weekly plan
    • Weekly and monthly plans without a free trial, but users can access or generate 3-4 questions/images for free
    2) What is the best way to implement in-app purchases?
    • From the start when we launch the app
    • Should we wait until we acquire a certain number of users? (If so, how many users should we have before implementing in-app purchases?)

    • @adamlyttleapps

      Good questions and probably content for an entire video. But here’s my initial thoughts:
      Test weekly vs monthly vs yearly. Not all app niches are the same. What works for one won’t work for another. In the video I showcase some of these obscurities
      I implement inapp purchases initially with StoreKit. As the app grows and I need better access management I use RevenueCat
      My model has worked well releasing the core functionality free. Letting ASO do its thing. Then adding new features and monetization (around 6 months later). Helps with free marketing, user acquisition and getting the word out
      Basic calculation I do in my head: monthly users acquired divided by 2 = approximate monthly revenue
      1000 users each month = $500 / month
      A good base to start with but isn’t a strict rule. Again, niche dependent

    This was a great watch, thanks for sharing! I feel like you've completely captured the struggle that I'm sitting with when it comes to building in public - spending so much time sharing the work you're doing that there's no time to actually do the work. Looking forward to seeing the tools you come up with to solve this.

      The video I made about creating a Tetris clone took longer to edit than actually making the thing. The struggle is real

    Advertisers pay more in diff niches

    Great video as always . The ai integration into a video editor is a nice idea. But how can that be achieved. Do we need to train a model for that. Also the video editor project from scratch is tiresome . Will be happy to know that.

    Let's be real here, you do not have a passion for coding. You have a passion for making money. That's fine by me of course, the first line in your bio just seems weird considering the videos you make.

    • @adamlyttleapps
      @adamlyttleapps  2 месяца назад +3

      False dichotomy. You can be passionate about coding and passionate about the business side. They are not mutually exclusive.

    • @RoyaltyInTraining.
      @RoyaltyInTraining. 2 месяца назад

      @@adamlyttleapps It's just that the kind of software you make is the exact thing my passion pushes me to avoid at all costs, cause it would feel like literal torture to me to write an incrementally better version of popular existing software, and repeat that same formula 9 times. Idk, maybe I'm just weird.
