It its actually scary because most people cant see Magnifico was the hero before. Also "This Is The Thanks I Get" song isnt dark because unlike the other villans he doesnt see himself as one.
I did. But then his arrogance took control of him turning him into a monster. And the song was pretty dark when you break down some of the lyrics, especially when he started using the book.

BTW If I’m Wrong About That 2nd Sentence Please Tell Me Because I Might Have To Go Watch The Movie Again.
No, as a punishment, King Magnifico goes on a rough boat-ride. When he gets on a boat and rides it to the ocean, the thunderstorm will approach which it will make water very big waves and the boat sink all the way down, then King Magnifico is dead.
Just like, remember the movie made by Disney? *NARRATOR (commentary):* In the next 6 years, King Agnarr and Queen Iduna were getting ready for a boat trip. *ANNA:* See you in two weeks. *ELSA:* Do you have to go? *AGNARR:* You'll be fine, Elsa. *NARRATOR:* But when they got on the boat, the thunderstorm approached. The waves moved up from the water and made the boat sink all the way down to the sea. King Agnarr and Queen Iduna were dead and it had been nothing but a dark and gloomy day.
Since the movie implies that Magnifico becomes the magic mirror from Snow White, this means that when he's found by the Evil Queen, he's forever bound to an eternity of thankless servitude. That's actually kinda f****d up.
Another Disney villain who didn't die along with Hans from Frozen, Yzma from the Emperor's New Groove, Amos Slade from The Fox and the Hound, Robert Callaghan from Big Hero 6, Captain Hook from Peter Pan, Silver from Treasure Planet, Te Ka from Moana, Cruella De Vil from 101 Dalmatians, Shere Khan from The Jungle Book, Gantu from Lilo and Stitch, Lady Tremaine from Cinderella, Edgar from The Aristocats, Governor Ratcliffe from Pocahontas, Prince John from Robin Hood, Bellwether from Zootopia and Alameda Slim from Home on the Range.
I know I only meant the Disney animated villains in the Disney animated Canon who didn't die where as Queen Ingrith from Maleficent Mistress of Evil is one of the Disney live action villains who didn't die the other being Baroness Von Hellman from Cruella.
Nnnnnope! They should have made the characters make bad wishes and make Asha want to stop all wishes from happening and make Magnifico want all wishes to be granted. Instead there is no conflict in terms of the wishes. There is no consequences of the wishes just for the sake of making Asha be framed as the hero. Also they frame Magnifico as the villain just for the sake of it.
Magnifico was only a selfish, narcissistic, and arrogant tyrant whose primary goal was nothing more than a mere façade in order to keep his people under control and while some wishes can be dangerous, not all of them were bad (such as Sakina's wish of seeing her daughter happy again) but he still kept them and did not fulfill them because he only chose the only ones that benefit his reign and himself. Despite his wife, Amaya, told him to not use Forbidden Magic and instead look for better solutions in case there's something wrong in his kingdom, he rejected her advice during the climax of his villain song by unlocking the book and using it, which clearly indicates that it was his own choice to embrace said magic, so he was never brainwashed and if it was the case, he was already a bad person before being corrupted and his corruption was only a medium to uncover his true nature. Because of these reasons, Magnifico cannot be considered an extremist nor a tragic "hero", so he still qualifies as Pure Evil.
@@matepoos7467 No. Magnifico didn’t want what happened to his family to happen to his kingdom. He was scared that his kingdom could have been destroyed the same way the place where his parents lived was destroyed. The towns people are entitled assholes who only care about wishes when the kingdom is in danger. Also they gave their wishes to the king willingly because it’s too hard for them to make their wishes come true so yeah. They gave him their wishes. They didn’t have to. They decided to do that.
@@matepoos7467 This movie should have had people make evil wishes and make people plot to kill Asha and the movie should have had Asha go in a quest to stop the wishes from happening. That would have been better.
@@deshawnwilliams3358 For what? Founding a kingdom that was open to everyone, where the people paid no taxes and had the chance to have the greatest wish granted, while he got literally nothing in return?
Writer Allison Moore says his motivations are not honorable, stating that "Magnifico seems to think wishes are just ideas. But they are a part of your heart-the very best part of your heart! Yet he's holding them inside these wish bubbles-hundreds of them-and most will remain there forever because that's how he controls the kingdom-by giving false hope".
That doesn't make sense because Magnifico says that before singing "At All Costs" Jennifer Lee says that Magnifico wanted to get rid of pain and suffering. That's why he built Rosas and learned magic to defend them. She said he was noble. It's sad that this movie teaches kids to give up on someone when they make one mistake. Especially someone who has PTSD. They missed an opportunity of doing true loves kiss to save him from possession, and the movie could've literally ended with a mutual understanding. I'm happy most kids prefer him 😂.
@@samanthagutierrez387 She also said that his transition to evil was a result of his own choices. And when he is challenged by Asha, he begins to show his flaws, stating "It's not your greatest moments, it's your toughest moments and the choices you make"
@briantyler3474 yes he made a wrong choice and there's always consequences when that happens. In his case his paranoia was his flaw. His fear led him to go to book and the consequences was him getting possessed. But to be locked up forever for ONE day of insanity is cruel. Why was Abuela from Encanto forgivven, Maui, John Silver, Elsa. He never gives false hope ppl know from day one that their wish being granted is a probability like lottery, that they forget it, and it's optional to give. He has kept everyone safe. I'm assuming all of these writers are ignorant on PTSD. As someone who has loved ones with PTSD they can be impulsive at times and sometimes controlling because they think their way is the safe way. You must be patient and loving. Show them they are not alone, not throw them the streets. Disney was really cruel for trying to force us to see a desperate and scared man as a villain 😕. And wishes are not what make you who you are. Don't teach children to obsess over one wish when they have the potential to do more. Ppl of Rosas were spoiled and lazy. None of the wishes seen were wishes that "very best part of your heart. The one that makes you you"
@briantyler3474 yes his choices led him to get possessed but he got desperate. His paranoia made him make a mistake. I'm assuming they are all ignorant of PTSD and paranoia. Ppl with this can be controlling because they think their way is safe way. When they get scared they think irrational and sometimes make impulsive decisions. And he never gave false hope the writers forgot to reread their work. Everyone knew that ur wish being granted was a probability like lottery. They knew they would forget it and it was optional to give up a wish. And let's be honest he wasn't controlling. If he were the ppl wouldn't have questioned him and asked for more like they did. A wish is NOT what makes you who you. This movie literally teaches kids to obsess over one wish when they have the potential to do more. Also teaches them to be ungrateful and spoiled. As someone with loved ones with PTSD you don't give up on them. You show them you are there for them and give them love. Not banishment like this movie teaches. Why was Maui, Abuela from Encanto, John Silver, and Elsa forgiven?
Despite his villainy, I still feel he was just misunderstood and deserved some forgiveness. What they should’ve added in the movie is after they defeat him, they show him the error of his ways and sentence him to the dungeon not for life, but until he understands the mistakes he made. They say that he’ll hopefully understand in time what Asha and his kingdom really wanted and deserved.

I’m Glad Disney & Pixar Decided To Go Back To The Villain Reveals With This Character. King Magnifico Is One Of My Favorite Wish Characters Because He’s An Awesome Villain and I Love How He Doesn’t Reveal His True Evil Nature Until Later In The Film. Sure He Wanted To Keep Everyone’s Wishes For Himself and Eventually Use The Wishing Star To Take Over The Entire Kingdom Of Rosas But That Doesn’t Stop Him From Being One Of The Greatest Disney Villains Of All Time Thus Paying Homage To All Of The Classic & Iconic Disney Villains Such As Evil Queen, Maleficent, Ursula and Jafar. Chris Pine Did Such A Wonderful Job Voicing The Villainous King Of Rosas. The Villain Reveals Are One Of My Things About Disney (With Pixar Included) Because At First We’re Lead To Believe That The Character The Hero Encounters Is Someone That Said Hero Can Trust and Sees As An Ally Until That Character Who Pretends To Be The Hero’s Friend Reveals Their True Evil Nature, Reveals To The Hero That They Were The True Mastermind Behind The Crime/Atrocity Or Conflict and Eventually Betrays The Hero Who Would Later Regret Having Trusted The Person He/She Thought Was His/Her Friend (Or Love Interest Or Teacher/Mentor Or Student Or Boss Or Co-Worker Or Idol Or Sibling Or Any Other Family Member Since It Doesn’t Have To Apply To Just Friends). But That Doesn’t Mean The Character Who Became The Villain Wouldn’t Eventually Be Defeated Or Punished For His/Her Evil Deeds Or Bad Behavior. My problem with the ending is there’s no empathy for Magnifico after all the good he’s done for his people. His methods might not always have been perfect but his over protective personality was due to losing his first wife and child to thieves and murderers when he was a peasant. He learned to love again as evidenced by his second marriage…yet the screenwriters write him off at the end as your stereotypical toxic male narcissist who cannot be redeemed …I mean come on Disney…we can do better than this.
Honestly, this movie disgusted me. The moral is so twisted. The guy had godlike power, founded a kingdom, let people come to it of their own accord, didn't make them pay taxes and literally granted their wishes, but he is somehow the bad guy for not giving more? He dedicated his life to helping people, and then, in his moment of darkness, when he is the one who needs help for a change, he is literally discarded by the people he spent his life helping, his wife refers to him as an "it" and, to add insult to injury, she basically has him tortured. He's already imprisoned and harmless, and now she's sentencing him to solitary confinement.
Not to mention he was trying to protect Rosas from having the same fate as his childhood village. Also the implication that he becomes the “slave in the magic mirror” to another narcissist is just.. super harsh
@raptara7029 And the subjects that he did everything for, that he spent at least 3 generations helping, protecting and granting wishes to, while getting nothing in return, are all okay with it. They make no attempt to help him or to free him from the evil that they know is corrupting him. They don't even mourn for him. Instead, they choose to gleefully torture him. He's completely powerless and at their mercy, and they choose to make his existence as miserable as humanly possible for no reason other than inflicting pain and suffering on another human being. His wife even calls him an "it" and smiles as she orders him to be tortured. Why was I supposed to feel bad for these people?
I know. It bothered me that no one tried to help him either. Amaya should have at least shown concern.. to make fun of him and then call him an it is crazy. Plus, he’s already trapped forever in a tiny mirror, so having the gaurd lock him in the dark smelly dungeon was just heartless. It feels like the movie itself turns on him too, as “happy music” plays while he tries to talk..
This is really satisfying seeing Magnifico get trapped in the mirror as punishment for his atrocities in the kingdom and this is the thanks he deserves!!!!! Amaya is gonna be the greatest Queen of all of Rosas

The moment anyone got close to him they asked him for something. He was used by everyone and willingly help everyone. Am I the only one who feel bad for him?
Nnnnnope! They should have made the characters make bad wishes and make Asha want to stop all wishes from happening and make Magnifico want all wishes to be granted. Instead there is no conflict in terms of the wishes. There is no consequences of the wishes just for the sake of making Asha be framed as the hero. Also they frame Magnifico as the villain just for the sake of it.
nope I also feel bad for him asha is a spoiled girl who thinks she can get her way all the time
Magnifico was only a selfish, narcissistic, and arrogant tyrant whose primary goal was nothing more than a mere façade in order to keep his people under control and while some wishes can be dangerous, not all of them were bad (such as Sakina's wish of seeing her daughter happy again) but he still kept them and did not fulfill them because he only chose the only ones that benefit his reign and himself.

A fate worse than Death
Spending eternity in a mirror in the foul smelling dungeon.

Magnifico deserves someone better than Amaya
@@Master-Worksthank you
It's not magnificos fault he became a villain his trauma paranoia and desire to keep rosas safe corrupted him
you know, he may have been not a good villain, but he did brought this on himself when he chose to dabble in dark magic, he should've realized there would be a price in using it.
Just like Queen ingrith she turns into a goat
This is really satisfying seeing Magnifico get trapped in the mirror as punishment for his atrocities in the kingdom and this is the thanks he deserves!!!!! Amaya is gonna be the greatest Queen of all of Rosas
Not even close. Magnifico literally didn't do anything wrong prior to getting corrupted by dark magic from the book.
Worst take in Disney history
magnifico didnt even do anything wrong prior to being possesed💀
The dude was literally possessed by a book. He had no say in the matter.
@@kingorange7739 But what if it actually amplified his darkest traits?
Hang it on the wall in the dungeon ❤ queen 👸
I wonder if Queen Maya would get rid of her Wedding ring since she completely get rid of King Magnifico for betraying the kingdom, try to control everything and everybody too!
I saw her Wedding ring 💍 on her left hand on the 4th finger
Best queen ever 😂
King Magnifico deserve to be punished with his crimes and try to take over Rosa's with his powers and try control everybody's wish and try to hurt Asha too!
I wish that Disney Wish gets a sequel and hopefully King Magnifico gets redeems or seek revenge on Asha, his Queen Maya. And Everybody turn against him!
"i decide what anyone deserves". This line proves the fact that Magnifico is already evil before he corrupted by dark magic.
3 Worst Bullying Scenes in Disney Animations:
1. Wreck-it Ralph - 30th anniversary party scene
2. Zootopia - Nick Wilde's past scene
3. Wish - Magnifico's defeat scene

Also I'm glad QueenMaya was being really smart not to help King Magnifico her Husband to let him get out of his own mini mirror trap!
Imagine she let him out he would do other disaster crime for the Kingdom of Rosa's and would try to use his dark magic again to hurt everybody again!
I'm glad he's going to be inside that mirror 🪞 forever in the Dungeon forever for his crimes he was doing for the Kingdom of Rosas!
Why the people in comments defends the Queen?
King Magnifico goes to dungeon
Do the detractors of this film have something against wishes in general?
What?
poor king magnifico I wish he got redeemed
And never got a truly evil villain after so long? We can't have that. Disney has been without it for too long throughout Encanto and Raya so thankfully Wish brought that back with Magnifico.

King Neptune: No.

The fact that the Queen just tossed her husband aside like yesterday’s trash is low key disturbing.
Seriously, who was the real villain here?
Magnifico is really Bob Iger.
Everyone not named Magnifico. The guy had godlike power and only ever used it to help other people and all people did was ask for more, while he got nothing in return. The moment anyone got close to him they asked him for something. He was used by everyone and willingly help everyone. Then, in his moment of darkness, when he finally needed help, they abandoned him and discarded him. Even knowing that was corrupted by the book. They don't make any attempt to help him and when he is rendered completely helpless and vulnerable, they choose to torture him out of spite. This movie is seriously twisted.
@@mr.histor1996 Are you going to say the same thing about Lucifer?
@@Disneyfan82 Asha has more in common with Lucifer. Leading a rebellion, destroying a utopia, the falling star, pride, etc. Her grandpa wished for the power to mind control people with magic and she sees that as an innocent wish.
@@mr.histor1996 That's a retarded thing to say. She's none of those things that you want to be true. Boy are you people that stupid to think her grandfather wanted to control people. [He rants, punches, kicks, rams the wall of his prison and curses loudly, but nobody can hear him, and also, his mirror prison doesn't even crack. Slowly, the attacking and ranting became less and less, and slowly, he settles down, and slowly begins to realize that he's stuck in his prison. His breaths start coming in ragged gasps, and tears well up in his eyes. Immediately, he starts to sob.]
