The crowd is a total disappointment for a new game engine. They still look like total garbage. The graphics overhaul was supposed to be the main reason for people to get 22. Thoroughly let down

Such small details as the texture on jerseys and even the palm of players gloves is defined. Game looks great.

There should be two seperate matchmaking choices one for casuals and one for a more simulated hockey feel.

EA got no competition in the sports field really other then basketball with 2K which have turned into casino games or micro transaction money pots we need more indie game companies imo to start making sports games

the problem is its another cross gen game that is still limited by 2011 console hardware. Hopefully NHL 23 will be an actual PS5/Series X only game.

It’s the best one I’ve played in recent years. Stick play is way better and it’s tougher to make plays and pass but you feel way better playing defence being able to knock pucks away.

Honestly, just play Super Blood Hockey or whip out the ol’ NES and play Blades of Steel. EA has been disrespecting the sport for years.
Game is about 10% better, but other than that…it’s just a roster update. What a shame.

Arcade mixed with simulation is a more fun game to me. 2k isn't even a simulation. None of them really are.

Save your money. No cross-play between the PS4 and the PS5. Impossible to find a drop-in game of 6's let alone a full game of 3's.
