    I have it! The sound system on this one is phenomenal! I have the 256GB version with a 2TB micro sd card installed.

    Bought this unit - 256GB - $245 from Lenovo - It's great. Tried an ipad - No thanks - Samsung UI always does something bizarre. The kickstand, amazing speakers and design suit me well . Not a generic slab.

    I wish more companies would have built-in kickstands on the tablets. You don't need to worry about wireless charging for most of these. So there's not much in the way of a downside.

    The Lenovo tab p11 pro Gen 2 is the best tablet ever made and there will never be one made as good as this one for the price. It's discontinued now and it's sad nobody will ever make another one like it.

    Thank you for reviewing this tablet! I have been watching and liking your videos for years and I enjoy them. I am so glad you called attention to this tablet. I just bought the 256GB version with a protective sleeve from Best Buy for $249 and I absolutely love it. For the money it is fantastic and the unique feature set of this tablet are what sold me. Just to clarify a few things, this tablet ships with Android 14 and Lenovo is promising two OS upgrades to Android 15 and 16. It will receive four years of monthly security updates as you said. I think consumers need to look at Lenovo tablets as a nice alternative to Samsung as they offer good value. I am amazed at the quality of the speakers, for music this tablet is absolutely incredible.

    Watching this on a Lenovo Tab M10 Plus 3rd Gen (that's a mouthful). It's a really good tablet for the price. It has a great battery saving mode you can put it in to preserve the battery if you have it mostly plugged in. It doesn't charge until it's below 40 percent and charges only to 60 percent. The battery should last many years the way I use it.

    Thanks, Lon. That is a nicely designed tablet for media consumption. A little more processing power and a little less bloatware and it might have been my next tablet.

    If you said "the best sound of any tablet" as many times as you said "it isn't as good as an iPad" you might have done it a little more justice.
    I bought it sight unseen, based with the claim that it had the best sound, even "better than or comparable to an ipad pro" you do know what ipad pros cost right?
    I already have a lenovo tablet with a kickstand/handle so I appreciate that feature.
    The fast charging is also very nice to have.
    These two features, best sound and fast charging really set this tablet apart.
    Oh, and did I say it was cheap?
    The price makes it almost an impulse purchase. It won't break the bank to buy it on a whim.
    Also it is possible to use it as an external monitor for a pc using a simple program like space desk. And it then gives touch input ti the computer. Also the pen that can be bought for it will then work for the computer, too.
    Thanks for spending time with the device.

    • @gmosc
      @gmosc День назад

      To use my android tablets as an external monitor for windows, with touch capabilities, actually I mostly use Super Display but some of my computers work better with space desk.

    • @andyH_England
      @andyH_England День назад

      This is a cheaper tablet for light use and media consumption. But it has a three-year-old slow chip that is well behind the latest base iPads. It also only gets two years of OS updates compared to six on the iPad. Also, the iPads are around the same price and have better accessories, e.g., keyboard cases. It has its place, but I watch a lot of HDR, so that is a deal breaker as the Lenovo does not have that.

    • @gmosc
      @gmosc День назад

      @andyH_England your desire for HDR alone makes it a deal breaker. That's cool. If I remember correctly, the security updates are 4 years. (Correct me if I'm wrong). Apple bundles stuff into OS updates whereas many of those things come in android security updates.
      One deal breaker for me is that my religion (self created) is not giving any money to apple or Elon. So that is a deal breaker for me, but I read up on apple and often help my apple using friends to solve their apple problems cuz many (like them) don't really follow the tech. Peace.

    • @gmosc
      @gmosc День назад +1

      @andyH_England oh, and by the way, I have the tablet and not once in my use did I complain about the chip speed. (I don't play games)
      The screen ratio makes wider content look larger than on ipads that create larger black bars top and bottom.
      And my main point is that the SOUND is good. Already, twice I've had comments from my apple using friends saying, "What IS that?!? It sounds good". Listen to one and see if the sound doesn't raise its value a tad, although not for your HDR needs.

    Excellent! I believe most “tablet denial-ists” misunderstand the golden use-case: portable media consumption. My iPod does nothing else (even though it can). It’s storage is packed with media and I mostly use it offline when on the go and also for streaming from anywhere in the house.

    i believe you cannot work with external monitor because the usb c only do audio output and not video. also, lenovo added so many bloatware games and other apps

  • @michaelcorcoran8768
    @michaelcorcoran8768 2 дня назад +3

    No video output is kind of a bummer. Like even the Lenovo duet 10-in version will give you video output. Or you could buy like a used Galaxy tab s6 or something or S7. But it's hardly all that unusual I think even the first generation pixel and OnePlus tablet don't have video output.

    • @RidwanGosal
      @RidwanGosal 2 дня назад +2

      Yeah i think it's kinda hilarious that this one a tablet with proper kickstand can't be used as input for bigger screen, and an external monitor for other devices. My guess is the SOC doesn't support it, i wouldn't mind paying more for the same tablet with these extra features built-in.

    • @gmosc
      @gmosc День назад

      @@RidwanGosal I have this and the more powerful and bigger yoga tab13 that has HDMI INPUT and I rarely use that input since there are at least 2 useful apps that turn any (even much older tablets) into extra screens for a PC. Those apps are Super Display and Space desk. There might even be more by now.

    I would recommend a Samsung tab A9 or A9+ instead of anything Lenovo tablet running Mediatek, and I own the Lenovo M10+ G3. Mistake to upgrade from an older Samsung A series tablet. I think the older A series tablet, although no longer receiving software updates and feature updates, is still snappier. I may return to using that A series tablet and retire my 1+ year old Lenovo tablet as its too laggy. Yes, the Lenovo tablet has all the latest Android features, but its just too slow. This Tab Plus will likely suffer a similar fate to anyone who gets it, too slow and laggy.

      @matthewjbauer1990 2 дня назад +1

      Yes, you should be able to. Android supports that feature. However, I don't know the max bandwidth of the USB-C port given that its wired for USB 2.0. That just means that its using the old school USB standard over USB-C and it is slow for data transfer speeds. How slow, not sure. I have the Lenovo M10 G3 and it's USB-C is 2.0 and slow, almost too slow for real data transfer, so I just have a 512GB MicroSD in it for all my media (I don't have a lot of local media as I stream everything).

    Lenovo does not have a stellar record for future Android upgrades or regular security updates. They tend to release decent tablets like this, but then that's it. For that reason, I will stick to larger tablet makers that guarantee updates and upgrades for at least 3 years or more.

    2 year old Mediatek SOC is weaker than a 7 year old Qualcomm SOC (SD 835). Yeesh. Really nice tablet otherwise.

    • @RidwanGosal
      @RidwanGosal 2 дня назад

      The SOC is a dime a dozen and being sold in many entry lvl and budget phones and tablets. I have one myself when it was still being sold relatively premium for its intended market, but now there are many2 cheaper tablets with this SOC and i honestly don't mind. The dedicated kickback and audio speakers r its main selling point, if you want stronger processor you need to buy midrange tablet like iPad or Xiaomi Pad.

      Got an iPad after being out of that eco system for ten years and hated it. Something as simple as adjusting the display takes you into a sub-menu, was always getting a red check warning about not syncing to some apple cloud portal that I could care less about. Nice screen and fingerprint sensor but with that backwards Apple UI and such I was so happy to finally dump that off to someone three days ago. I'll take the older media tech in exchange for a better for me UI, speakers, kickstand and form factor.
