More like true video game sound if you ask me. Some of the original tracks wouldn't be out of place in, say, some MMPR spinoff Video Game for the Sega Genesis or something like that.
I actually came back here because I was listening to the SSJ 3 theme at first and then I remembered that the title screen theme for this video game had the same song so I came back to hear it!
When younger, did anyone else have difficulties punching Vegeta as kid Trunks while you were in the training room but when you got older and played again, did you relies that you could spam "A" at the dialogue screen and after all of the words, just instantly hit him?
BASEJOCK11 You know what... Pokemon games taking place in the Johto region were originally for GameBoy Color, later the remakes came in the DS. Pokemon Hoenn was GBA, remakes for the 3DS. It certainly IS possible that this game might be remade. Maybe we should write to Atari about it....
I hate how under=rated this game is. It is quite literally the best GBA game, and is currently considered (by me) a hidden gem. Please, if you have not tried it, DO IT!!! The soundtrack is kick-ass for the GBA, it looks great, the gameplay is awesome, and moments from the show are perfectly re-created on the GBA!
This game was what got me started into dragon ball. Since then it's always been one of the biggest parts of my life. 😢 RIP Akari Toriyama. We'll see u in otherworld
I haven't played this in years, since I was in elementary school. Yet I still remember how every single track is supposed to go. I played this too much when I was a kid haha. Wish I could go back to those days, playing this in the car and during recess when I needed to hide my SP from teachers haha.
I remember this theme having a ton of distortion because I always had the in-game volume too high, and my poor GBA speaker couldn't handle it. Good times.
Bro I remember I was tryna catch vegeta in the time chamber with trunks my dumbs didn’t know u could double tap b to run faster so I’m jus walking for two hours crying real tears cus I couldn’t catch him lmaooooo
I got this game for my 13th birthday along with Crash Twinsanity. I'm 31 now and I still remember this game to this day. I like LOG2 more but this game I have a soft spot for. It's surreal because it came out not too long after the Buu saga ended in America and then to put in events from the movies was genius. If anything, I really didn't care for the remixes of the world map and Capsule Corp but everything else in the game is great.
I'm sure there's an uncompressed version of it somewhere. Or if it's using music samples it could be recreated like a lot of N64 games have been getting reconstructed recently. A lot of the music does sound like compressed samples from the anime though so it could be possible to recreate it that way as well.
@@cyclops8238 thats a bit over optimistic since that SF was only possible due to the giga leak (which included the raw samples) i think the more likely thing that may happen is a program will be used to write thre music tracker / note info and use oproximate samples sort of like what midis do..- i used a method similar to this for some of my old batman music remakes. time will tell

i told my younger brother about this game and he's using an emulator and cheating cause he said its hard to beat.....I told back when I was your age It was either you were good enough to beat this(or any game)or you wasn't
Jevon Taitt well spoken of you sir. However I found less skill was needed for this game in particular than it's predecessors. I personally found Legacy of goku 2 the more "Git Gud scrub" game of the series. The first actual battle was with Gohan fighting Frieza in a dream Sequence.
I remember when I was a kid, I beat Legacy of Goku 2 and then I bought this game weeks after I couldn't hold my intense excitement when I listened to this title screen music
I don't remember anything about the game itself. The only thing I remember is plugging my shitty earphones into the GBA and letting this play over and over and over again. This theme alone was worth the price of the game.
I remember when I first played this and didn't realize the entire time that I had stat points I could allocate after leveling until I had already beat it. I was wondering why the game seemed so hard and pretty much had to get through every fight by punching and dodging because everything else was super weak. Luckily I noticed it before finding Broly.
rasekage16 duuuddeeee sammmeeeeeee, like I went all the way up to janemba without increasing stat points, just made it there by eating all my 350+ senzu lmfao. I was like goddamn this game is extremely realistic and difficult to beat
For me i had to ask my older brother for help against kid buu then he showed me that i needed to upgrade my stats then it immediatly became so much easier😂 Gosh just to think about the fact that i had to go through the whole game without upgrading my stats is quite humiliating 😅😂
This still goes harder than the original theme. I'm only 16 and never got to watch DBZ while it was airing on TV or play any of the old games, but DAMN! This goes hard!
The first time I played buus fury was on an emulator on a laptop that my aunt gave me on one of my birthdays, shes no longer with us but hearing this theme brings back all the memories
I'm lucky. I still have Legacy of Goku I, II, Buu's fury, and my GBA is still in good shape even after all these years! Too bad the audio in Legacy of Goku I stopped working.
People say this is not a direct sequel to legacy of Goku 2 but if that's true then why does it continue right after the events of legacy of Goku 2 and the 16 bit character sprites look just like the previously mentioned games sprites?
First part of game was so much good, I loved playing it. 2nd part was even so much better. They really improved the gameplay. And finally this part... No words to explain. You can understand it if you played it. GBA will be the best console of all time.
When my friend first bought his gba to school with this game all I did was listen to this music during the break time in low sound... Nostalgia 🥺🥺🥺🥺 well now I have listened to this music 4 times already while typing my comment
I don't know much about DBZ games, but hearing Falcouner's music in an official game is awesome. I'm curious how many other DBZ games feature his music.
You know, I may have never played Dragon Ball Z Legacy of Goku 2, but this game... this game was nostalgic to the core! Hell, this was the first time I ever heard this song!
Ya know, tbh I think there were alot of great games for the gba, Buy's fury is one of the best other than like Pokemon and Zelda but the games were good. Also Buu's Fury was more tedious than it was hard, legacy of Goku was harder
Damn I remember playing all the Legacy Of Goku on the GBA growing up, and I would just let this song play over and over. Even all these years later it still gets me hyped. So thankful I grew up with this awesome game.
Man I love this song, when I played this game the first time I used to spend hours listening to this, now I'm doing a let's play of it and I still took time to honor this song :3
When I think DBZ this theme comes into mind. I still have my cartridge and it works lol all those poor goons you gotta kill, the level cap rocks only certain characters can break, definitely a classic game
Best memories being a little ass kid playing this late at night under the sheets while I'm supposed to be sleeping, having the volume on ever so slightly.
Back in 2004, I was at Circuit City looking for a new game with enough money for just one. I saw this and thought, "Huh, is this Legacy of Goku 3? Looks like it, not sure why they changed the title, and I never even heard they were making it. I should probably get this. But then there's this Dragon Ball TAIKETSU game. This looks pretty new and different." And I remember holding both of them in front of me, one in each hand debating which one to get. Truly a defining moment in my life. I don't know who I'd be if I picked Taiketsu. Best decision ever. Dodged a bullet there.
I used to sit at the main screen and let it play over and over lol
Trevon McLaughlin dbz is life!!!
same, good old days of the gba. zelda/pokemon/dbz/megaman.

FOR REAL!
True
Fr and the ssj3 theme
Right! It should be illegal
Bro
We gather here today to say goodbye to a legend.
R.I.P. Akira Toriyama
Bruce Falcouner’s impact on sound will forever stay with millions of kids. To me, this is true anime sound.
Hmm 🙁
Bruce Falcon Sound is cool but Sunske kikuchi is Legendary ❤
Can you belive there a whole swath of DB fans that don’t like his arrangements…can’t relate
His tracks are good for video games which cannot have the same detail for animation
More like true video game sound if you ask me. Some of the original tracks wouldn't be out of place in, say, some MMPR spinoff Video Game for the Sega Genesis or something like that.
This being a SSJ3 theme remix flew over my head for the longest time, and it actually makes perfect sense for it to be one
I actually came back here because I was listening to the SSJ 3 theme at first and then I remembered that the title screen theme for this video game had the same song so I came back to hear it!
@@originalJoeKing very good choice

HellboysGaming •-• nope. I got it first run. GIT GUD, SKRUB!
HellboysGaming •-• No it's easy to do that, you just have to spam the punch button!
Honestly I just waited for SSJ and ran as fast as I could to Vegeta to land that punch XD

I can see why it took a while, but what about the final scene where you have to break your fingers mashing A and B to push the Super Spirit Bomb?
BEST GBA GAME EVER!
Yeah I would love it they made several games from dragon ball to the end of z for 3ds in the style they did legacy and buu's fury

Damn Those memories. The Dragon Fist attack was worth collecting all those items to unlock Gogeta! @@doodle8386
There are better games on the GBA, but I don’t think anyone should sleep on Legacy of Goku 2 and Buu’s Fury

Asianeyes007 slightly different

Do you know "my boy emulator"
I played buu's fury in that
Good lord the nostalgia
The fact people still come back to the nostalgia it truly is a drug
