    Liverpool are on track for 93 points at the moment. Only 4 Premier League champions have got more points than that (and that includes when there were more games in the season). Only Liverpool themselves have got more than that and yet not won the title. The average points total for winners is 87 (rounded down) and the main reason it is that high is just because of Pep and Klopp. To say Liverpool might win this because they 'don't have to be perfect' is just silly. In Premier League history, almost no-one could live with this Liverpool side's results. Only Man City, Chelsea (once), and Liverpool themselves have ever got to that level of points. Arsenal never have - their best ever total is 'just' 90. The average points total for runners-up is just 81 or so. That's 12 less than Liverpool are on target for.
    Stop trying to devalue this Liverpool team by suggesting the rivals aren't doing well. The nearest rivals are set to do exactly as well as the nearest rivals usually do. Maybe better.

      Well said. It's strange to hear all the pundits ignore all the context with why conceded 2 late goals - because they were up 1-5 and very few teams will just keep throwing everything forward and leave themselves wide open at the back. It's not an excuse, but I've heard a lot of nonsense about "If Spurs had their first choice defense, Liverpool wouldn't have scored 6" - perhaps true, but if Liverpool killed the game at 1-3 they wouldn't have had any chances - they're like Chelsea right now. Any team with a solid offense will outshoot them and that's what's happening.

    What these guys should realise is that this Liverpool team, when it has the odd blip, it's short and sweet and does little damage. I still think that compared to other teams we will just carry on as we have all season. There's been too much focus by pundits and the media on Liverpool slipping up when they should take into consideration other teams doing it as much if not more.

    The passing and the way Liverpool played vs Spurs was superb. It was so neat and beautiful than no talks or cares about 3 goals that spurs scored. They could have defeated any team yesterday!

  • @Rain188

    Everyone asks what is the difference between Liverpool under Klopp and Slot. I am a Liverpool fan and I can confirm that passing and the way we are currently playing is more sophisticated and opponents can’t read our game plan easily

    The most telling thing to me was the Spurs manager after the match when asked about a "Plan B" regarding the high attacking press...His response, "I don't know what you are talking about, we have no plan B or C"....So they will only play one way, and have no counter. Brilliant!

    These guys making out we are sloppy in defence, yes last few games have been a little leaky but when Konate is back you will see a tighter defence.

    Just to remind everyone, its your teams responsibility to deal with injuries your manager prepares the SQUAD at the start of the season then everyone gets injuries, Liverpool are not responsible for your squad’s injuries 😢

  • @zingisamahlasela
    @zingisamahlasela 3 дня назад +4

    Besides these last three games Liverpool have played in the EPL without Konate or Bradley, how many did they concede before that? How can you not trust them defensively because of a few outliers results, one of which they played with 10 men. They were leading 5-1 versus Spurs when they were on it, and they took their foot off the gas. The two of you always overreact to weekly matches. Stop throwing away your prior knowledge about a team due to recent events Robbies!

    I think if you compare relative past performances with every stat, points, goals for, ga, gd, wdl, this Liverpool team is as strong as there has ever been at this stage. Its unfair to say everyone else falling away, both Arsenal and Chelsea would argue otherwise.

    To play devil's advocate (and to be clear I'm a Liverpool supporter not a Spurs one), I think what Ange might say if he were inclined to elaborate is something along the lines of "yeah we could do the cautious things you suggest, but we would have scored fewer goals and still lost." IMO it's hard to say for certain that's not the case and if you're going to lose anyways what's the real harm in seeing some goals? It's difficult to argue that it's because goal difference matters because Spurs are well clear of anyone around them in the table in terms of goal difference.

    Yates its out of his depth if we are being honest. he is a good player to bring on as a finisher to break up play. No way a starter. MGW and Anderson against Brentford was a breath of fresh air. Great engines, comfortable on the ball, dribble and play a pass and can make quick decisions, Yates hold up the play

    • @Thurmoman
      @Thurmoman 3 дня назад

      Yates has been one of our most consistent players all season. Definitely not out of his depth. There’s a reason that every manager we’ve had has always played him!

    • @TheChromeTree
      @TheChromeTree 3 дня назад

      @Thurmoman you need to open your eyes mate. He is extremely limited. His positioning is poor, doesn't show for the ball and too slow on the ball. MGW and Anderson last week showed how a partnership works. Yates only has aggression....that's it. As I say, you bring him on if you need to break up play.

    • @Thurmoman
      @Thurmoman 3 дня назад

      @ Anderson and MGW played well but look who Nuno trusted to see the game out. Yates is not an aggressive player so don’t understand what you’re saying. He puts himself about, breaks up play and wins fouls. He’s an important player for us. He’s also the link to the club for new players coming to the club. He is constantly (unfairly )written off by some sections of the fan base but always proves them wrong.

    • @TheChromeTree
      @TheChromeTree 3 дня назад

      @@Thurmoman exactly....finish game out. It's not unfair..people said the same about Worral and Cooper....and we are in a much better position since then.
      Watch what Yates does, ie concentrate on just what he does...and then you'll understand.

    I really believe that Slot is a better coach than Klopp especially am so happy with Slot in game managing and the team playing with more consistent more in control rather then attack attack attack like Klopp said a rocking role football and by doing that we used concede goals almost every match and drop points, look no disrespect to klopp because he let us winning every trophy out there but am really excited on what’s to come with Slot which am a thousand percent sure we can winning 🏆

      I really think so too. The drop off has been so severe that it can't be down to losing Rodri or injuries, something much more substantial is at play. I think the club has made them and Pep aware that they are probably going to lose the case and what the verdicts might be and the players have lost all motivation.

    this 2 talk more about LFC has to stay in same great form and finish over 90 points to win the PL.
    Comon!!!
    ARSENAL AND CHELSEA WILL NOT finish over 90, not even 85.
    And both of them will ALSO HAVE Dlip in form.
    Liverpool didn’t play as well in the first 2 months but keep winning games.
    Liverpool IS playing great as of now, we should’ve beating both Newcastle and Fulham, if not for 2 mistakes.
    But this 2 Robbie are saying Liverpool has to stay perfect to win the league especially Arsenal can do the same.
    😂😂Lol
