Couldn’t agree more. I was so disappointed with the game. Future updates/DLCs may improve it, but as it is, it’s average at best. Currently playing Dragon Dogma 2, and although not perfect, it’s a lot better than Starfield.

I understand that some mini games can be a bit annoying especially for completionist but they are mostly optional and when they are good, they are really really good imo. The exploration, world building, story, characters are worth it for me.
Definitely. starfield and some others definitely isn’t top 30 when they missed games like Arkham city, resident evil 4, heck even Mario wonders and Alan wake 2. Then you have some like Baldur gate which deserved game of the year but shouldn’t be as high as it is.

I kind of agree. There are too many recent games of a similar ilk, on this list for me. DD2 is only a couple of weeks old, so it may be many people’s current favourite, but is it an all time great? I’m not so sure. I personally prefer GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas to either GTA IV or V. I think they were more ground breaking, despite their graphics not being as impressive as the more recent releases. I’m also a big Metroidvania games fan, so would have Hollow Knight on my list, as it’s the best game in that genre that I have played yet. But each to their own I guess.

Love horror games like RE, Silent Hill, Alien Isolation, Fromsoft games, some open world games i.e. BotW/TotK RDR2, platformers like Mario, DKC, Sonic(ish) and metroidvanias like Ori, Metroid, Hollow Knight, and many more games like Titanfall and Bioshock 1 & 2.

It seems like he only used 1 game per series. Which for a series like Zelda and Resident Evil which have undergone multiple iterations or reboots is tough. The original games are older, but if it wasn't for these re-releases there's no way OP would even know they exist based on the recency bias in this video.

I absolutely LOVE that Alien Isolation made this list because it's definitely one of the best games of all time! Its my favorite survival horror game and i wish we would at least get a Next Gen update. Now is a perfect time for it too, its one of those games that's screaming for a next gen upgrade!

Nah I loved the second game. I'm one of the few that genuinely preferred espionage through corridors and warehouses rather than in the forest. I also loved how eerie the end game of MGS2 was.

Not a bad list but the bias toward Open World games is so obvious. Big doesn't always mean better. Starfield is a good example. Also Horizon being among top 30 best games of all time doesn't make sense to me. Bloodborne , dark souls and elden ring all making to the list of 30 best games of all time while there's no mention of Celeste and some great indie titles shows this bias so well.
No shot Nier automata missed out on this list. I get that it’s personal opinion but that game is hands down my favourite game ever I have so much love for that game. In my opinion it’s the best game ever made. What’s crazy is Elden ring was #2 - I’ve beat games like DS3, Sekiro and LOP and loved them, Elden ring just got boring for me. I got up to the fire giant and it just flopped I found myself not enjoying it. It was way too open world for me. I think that Nier automata is the perfect encapsulation on what a open world game should be. Everyone enjoys different things but I’ve found solace in this game. If I can get even one person to play Nier automata and get all 5 main endings then I have beaten life 😂

I absolutely LOVE that Alien Isolation made this list because it's definitely one of the best games of all time! Its my favorite survival horror game and i wish we would at least get a Next Gen update. Now is a perfect time for it too, its one of those games that's screaming for a next gen upgrade!

Not a bad list but the bias toward Open World games is so obvious. Big doesn't always mean better. Starfield is a good example. Also Horizon being among top 30 best games of all time doesn't make sense to me. Bloodborne , dark souls and elden ring all making to the list of 30 best games of all time while there's no mention of Celeste and some great indie titles shows this bias so well.
No shot Nier automata missed out on this list. I get that it’s personal opinion but that game is hands down my favourite game ever I have so much love for that game. In my opinion it’s the best game ever made. What’s crazy is Elden ring was #2 - I’ve beat games like DS3, Sekiro and LOP and loved them, Elden ring just got boring for me. I got up to the fire giant and it just flopped I found myself not enjoying it. It was way too open world for me. I think that Nier automata is the perfect encapsulation on what a open world game should be. Everyone enjoys different things but I’ve found solace in this game. If I can get even one person to play Nier automata and get all 5 main endings then I have beaten life 😂
