It really needs to be pointed out how the judges, with the exception of 1, didn't give Max a round. Sure it wouldn't change the end result but how do you not give him one of those 2 rounds?
@@bigbear5767 Round 1 or 2 could have gone either way, can't remember which one, but one of the 2 Max had a clear edge. I know this might hurt your feelings, but the judging was horrible most of the night, most people agree, a lot of fighters agree, media agree. And overall, judging the last maybe 6 months is just a dumpster fire.
Okay so if you admit yourself that both rounds could go either way, then why is it a problem that it was scored 2-0? Both rounds were close yes, but Topuria edged them out, especially round 2. Just bc you get 2 close rounds doesnt mean you should automatically make it 1-1 lmao. Thats not how it works
We all know judging is shit. But this was not an example of it. Logically your comment doesnt make sense. If theres 2 rounds and both can go either way, that means the score could justifiably be 1-1, or 2-0 for either fighter. At the end of the day, I hope this ain't the end of the day for Max.
Should have stayed at 55 going back down to 45 completely halted maxs momentum I never understood that decision from this fights conception
Nah everyone was saying it was a mistake when he moved up to 155 then switched after it went well for him. He and his team made a decision they believed was right, it went well for him at LW and he was up against a future great of the sport now so he didn’t win down at FW, he’s been beating everyone except Volk and ilia at FW for years.
He had to go down because he was next for the title at 45 while he is not a title contender at 55 yet. Now that he didn’t beat Ilia I think he should move up.
should have could have. hindsight feels good huh? being that i can actually throw a punch imma say that max should have done exactly what he did. he knows this and so does his family. this is the game they play. they don't operate like you
You don't get the attraction to get a title shot and try to reclaim your title?
@@lowlowseesee you don’t know anything about me buddy take a deep breath people having different opinions is a part of life
Max already concurred the 145 division. Time to move up

@@terrycruise-zd5tw We have another internet warrior 😂
Didn’t volk beat tf out of koway for 75 mins ??????
I concur
I’m Georgian and I’m a big fan of Ilia and very happy he won. Big respect to Max though, these retaliation strikes were insane . Definitely one of the best fights
No sadness for max. He's made many other people walk in the shoes he's in right now. Live by the sword. Your turn max
thank you! finally some logic.
Way she goes
Smh how can you say something like that when the guy is down and out... When he's at the lowest point in his career, you say this. Shame on you. 😔
No sadness is kinda crazy, if he isn’t one of ur fav fighter now that’ll be different. Have a heart tough guy

Dang man. This hurts. Love Max. He's a true warrior. Really wanted this one for him. you'll bounce back champ, you always do!
HE WAS LOOKING GREAT! 2-0 BEFORE THE KO! GREAT FIGHT! EVERYONE WAS IN AWE! A HUGE SOAP OPERA ON EVERYONE'S MIND GLOBALLY! HUGE ORDEAL HERE! CONGRATULATIONS MAX! ILLIA IS REALLY STRONG! CONGRATULATIONS TOPURIA! YOU ACHEIVED THE IMPOSSIBE!
Man, the way he carries himself in good times or the bad. True legend.
I legit had tears in my eyes seeing Max on the ground looking up. Man’s always been a dawg but that cut just takes it toll on him now. All props to Ilia, he’s the new 145 king but Max has got to stay at 155. He’s so much better for that division and he’ll go on another run for sure
You think so?? I hope he’s not done.. he was winning till he wasn’t .. fuck hurts man especially as a fellow Hawaiian 😞
Bro you got way too much estrogen 😂

It really needs to be pointed out how the judges, with the exception of 1, didn't give Max a round. Sure it wouldn't change the end result but how do you not give him one of those 2 rounds?
"How do you not give him one round?". We're not handing out pity rounds here. Which round specifically are you talking about?
@@bigbear57672nd rd
Topuria got the edge bc damage is the most important criteria and he clearly did more damage.
Max n Rob hurt my gut being my top 5 in their division. I’m still a big fan n always rocking wit these warriors. Win or lose in that cage u a warrior for stepping in there
I Love U maxx❤❤❤❤
Definitely should be a lightweight. He has given us enough entertainment at featherweight. He has matured and filled out. Looked horrible at the weigh in and despite how much you hydrate you cannot hydrate your brain fast enough. Dehydration on its own can lead to brain damage add a little blunt force trauma, lights out. Hats off to both men.Torch has passed Ilia is the man to beat. Keep yo head up Max!
we found out saturday night
This card was a roller coaster of emotions, great job UFC and good fight champ
Love ya Max 🤟
I never thought I’d hear myself say this but someone actually boxed the ears off Holloway
Topuria gave him a new voice.
Wish i could be so chilled as max he never gets angry
He f*cked around & found out October 26th bruddah. 😢 Watchout 55ers, here comes the grown-man, non-depleted Blessed Express 🙏🏼👊🏼
I hope Max doesn't end up like Tony Ferguson .. Its that time where the changing of the guard is happening throughout all divisions..
Max is still young, you look at him fighting 5 years ago and he looks quicker now than he did then. The same can’t be said for tony, he’s visibly slower, like a lot slower and he’s old. Can’t compare them.
I love Max's attitude.
Ilia said he drew inspiration from Max? Oh wow lol respect
Should've never went back down to 145.
should have could have. hindsight feels good huh? being that i can actually throw a punch imma say that max should have done exactly what he did. he knows this and so does his family. this is the game they play. they don't operate like you
@@lowlowseesee oh you can throw a punch whoop dee doo. You probably took too many punches as well. Anyone with a brain can see how much better he looked at 155 and how bad he looked weighing in at 145. But think what you want, tough guy.
@@c-mo313 weight doesnt matter ilia made him look worse that is fact find some courage to give men credit that he deserves
@@nikajaliashvili1346 weight cuts absolutely do matter. I give Topuria all the credit in the world. I just don’t think Max should’ve gone back down in weight. Not to mention there are way more exciting matchups for him at 155.
How can you not love this dude. There's only one Max. Stay blessed brother.
God fucking dammit 😢
How can you not love Max? What a great champ! Love how he doesn’t make excuses in losing. One of the most manly fighters to ever step inside the octagon!
Dropping down to 145 after finishing gathje never made sense. Terrible career decision. Knew he was bouta get his drained ass KO’d

Being a spaniard and being this happy for Ilia doesnt take from the fact that Max is a legend and has been a legend for many years. He still is and always will be one of the best.
It's over guys I can't even lie. He took plenty of damage in his career and now his chin has been cracked... I hope I'm wrong tho
dp vs max as retirement fight for both would be cool

Max was getting the better of him.. i am sure if it had continued he would have a better performance
god this one hurt alot i fw max the most then any other fighter on the roster. and believe whole heartly that this man will be back for revenge against both volk and ilia. when this man loses the bonce backs are unreal
Max still the goat FW
How is that when he lost to Volk 3 times while in his prime?
Love Max and he’s a BMF, but he ain’t the FW Goat.
Ur joking he lost to Volk 3 times 😂
Ilia is the new goat, Volk is 2nd and Max and Aldo are under them.
Illias understanding of boxing makes him standout. A lot of guys in mma don’t have respect for boxing not understanding that there are nuances in only being restricted to your hands. Illia has figured this out. He uses the cage like a boxer uses the corner in the ring.
I've seen enough give him jon jones
Not really a big fan of max, just his style of fighting, but he is a class act and an honest hard working fighter. He always tries to put on a show in a sport where that can cripple you. That I absolutely respect. Wishing him the best.
the bad ending
Holloway still the man. Love from Wales G. X
That was a quick stoppage. Max can recover quick, the ref never took that into consideration.
I was happy with the stoppage and I am a superfan of Max. He was out bro. No sense in taking more damage
@@artieriesterer8633 Also a long time fan of Holloway. I'm not sure what fight this man was watching or if he's just trolling. Ilia was walking away and Max was still flat on his back with the ref leaning down to check on him. When he made it to his feet he had no idea what had just happened.
@@josephdover198 Max will be back bro. The man’s legacy is still already lifelong and he will continue to be one of the best
