Use your iPhone (Notes app) to Scan and Email documents

A quick and easy way to scan and send documents using the Notes app in your iPhone.
To save a little more time, press-and-hold the Notes app for the option to 'scan document'.

Yes... If you open the email app, type your message and then either select the scan icon which appears just above the keyboard (next to camera/document/etc icons) and scan from there... OR... long press the screen where you want to attache the scan. You'll see select/select all/etc. follow the right arrow for more options including "scan document". You can add multiple different documents this way each with multiple pages. Hope that helps.

I did a test email and sent it to myself and when I tried opening it from my Chromebook instead of an Apple product it wouldn't let me. It required an appleID in order to view the document. Is there a way to send it so that anyone can access the note?

@@domenicagordon5187 - You could try scanning in the document (s) directly from the Mail app. I've found that is a nice way to send multiple documents in an organized message. Open mail and long press on the body of the message where you want to add the scan. The menu that pops up starts with 'select', 'select all'... look to the right and you'll find 'scan document' as an option. This worked for me and I hope it helps you.

With the latest iphone update the process has become a little less intuitive. Not only is there no "up" arrow but i can't even find a place to turn off the camera so that it's not continuing to take photos of everything. Thanks for your video nonetheless, it helped immensely the 1st couple of times.

One thing to ask ...
If I add some texts before scanned documents and then send a copy of this to any body note then either only document gets selected in pdf format or text not both of them get selected.

Apple has since updated the ways to scan. Try opening the email app first and scanning from within the body of the message. Long press where you want and select "scan document" which can be found in the right of the pop up menu. Hope that works.
