But in Stalingrad with heavy attrition and little hope for supplies and brutal close combat fighting sometimes for just a few rooms, pistols could be used effectively and probably got more kills there than every other front line together lool other than that the movie is utter garbage for accuracy one of the worst I've seen
I feel that in Russia they teach history far more differently then the rest of the world about World War 2. Which if theres any Russian here then I'm just curious but is that the case? In California we talk about the countrys who fought in the war saying there roles and describing the type of leader of each country. Here we were taught that Stalin and Hitler think very similar which is why Hitler hated Stalin seeing if as competition. But I've heard rumors that in Russia they describe Stalin as this savoir and barely talks about the work camps or KGB including the harsh penalties and oppression at the occupied countrys. I've spoked with a forgien student before who is actually from Russia and she looked at me with confusion when I asked how do they explain the Berlin Airlift in her country.
There was no waffen ss in stalingrad. It was a point the SS used further down the line to gain more favor. The SS at this point was always winning in pitched battles, so they could point a finger at the werhmacht in regards to stalingrad, that is until a little city called Budapest (the Waffen SS stalingrad) The tanker clearly had a deathshead, though im sure there are examples of prussians wearing deathheads in the werhmacht.
There was SS guarding the airports outside Stalingrad and also to prevent regular army desertions, but no SS infantry or tankers fighting in Stalingrad proper.
Bennie G the small SS police unit you refer to was pulled out before encirclement and didn't enter into urban fighting You are correct, there was a couple guys there from the SS for a short time But the SS used this as an excuse to show the wehrmacht as their weaker less dedicated counterpart
Steve Eyles yes, it is a panzers uniform, AN SS PANZER UNIFORM, see those little skulls on his hate and lapels? That's called a totenkopf, the SS deaths head, though it wasn't invented by them and there are examples of Prussian werhamct wearing it, it was a standard issue and symbol of the SS Learn history before you correct someone, there were elements of the 4th panzers trapped in the kessel, but they mostly held a southern position in the outskirts of the urban fighting. The also didn't have these fake ass looking tiger tanks either. Would've been panzers 4s and some 3s most likely some random shit thrown in.

Такое впечатление, что фильм снят про захватчиков,а не про защитников Сталинграда !!!
Ну со стороны/от лица захватчиков показывают героизм защитников. Не вижу в этом ничего сверх ужасного

huge respect for the Germans, brave fighters, fierce in combat, tried to stop the spread of communism. Huge respect for the Russians for their guts and courage defending their homeland from fascism. Though both ideologies that the respective armies fought under were evil and maniacal, you gotta respect the fearless soldiers from both sides, leading to some of the most bloodiest and fierce fighting in history.
So who on Earth brought Lenin to Russia in 1917 from Switzerland ? Dig it pls...

Soldiers father, chek point, they fought for motherland are the best films about ww2. And German film about Stalingrad is very strong film.
This is the absolutely worst war movie i've ever seen, and i say you this as a Russian. Dont even bother to see this piece of crap!
i already did - what has been seen can't be unseen ... i still suffer from that experience.... :-(
It seemed more like a horrible video game. Thank God for the 1993 Stalingrad movie!

Anthony J. Looks decent lol. Can't be as bad as some of the war films the West has put out in the last few years

Better than most war films!
I thought this was a COD/ MoH cutscene. Never heard of the movie before. What a time we live in to where someone can mistake this for a computer game and vice versa.

3:36 German officer was too kind to shoot first, and he died for it
Fun fact: the actor played as the Hauptmann in this movie also played as the young Leutnant in the 1993 Stalingrad movie
Oh this movie looks interesting!
...*watches scene where they shoot each other with pistols*...
....I retract my previous statement
I mean. Anywhere else in the war it was probably extremely rare. But in Stalingrad with heavy attrition and little hope for supplies and brutal close combat fighting sometimes for just a few rooms, pistols could be used effectively and probably got more kills there than every other front line together lool other than that the movie is utter garbage for accuracy one of the worst I've seen
Fantastic filming
2:10 When covering both your ears is just too much hassle, you instead just cover one.

Ngl Germans had a very clean style
Interesting fact: Those aren't real Pz.IV, they are built over T-44 chasis so at least they used real tanks instead of crappy CGI
Who once wrote that the German tank commander looks like the singer of Erasure?
The German tank looks like Tiger and Panzer IV ‘s abomination baby
Imagine having consecutively numbered tanks in the same place lol
Love how American and Russian ww2 movies just portray the germans as completely incompetent

Very good movies . I hope we will have a movie about Kursk 1943
There was no waffen ss in stalingrad. It was a point the SS used further down the line to gain more favor. The SS at this point was always winning in pitched battles, so they could point a finger at the werhmacht in regards to stalingrad, that is until a little city called Budapest (the Waffen SS stalingrad)
The tanker clearly had a deathshead, though im sure there are examples of prussians wearing deathheads in the werhmacht.
And they say hollywood is fake and cheesey
There was SS guarding the airports outside Stalingrad and also to prevent regular army desertions, but no SS infantry or tankers fighting in Stalingrad proper.
Bennie G the small SS police unit you refer to was pulled out before encirclement and didn't enter into urban fighting
You are correct, there was a couple guys there from the SS for a short time
But the SS used this as an excuse to show the wehrmacht as their weaker less dedicated counterpart
Its panzer crew uniform, not SS, do some research!
Steve Eyles yes, it is a panzers uniform, AN SS PANZER UNIFORM, see those little skulls on his hate and lapels? That's called a totenkopf, the SS deaths head, though it wasn't invented by them and there are examples of Prussian werhamct wearing it, it was a standard issue and symbol of the SS
Learn history before you correct someone, there were elements of the 4th panzers trapped in the kessel, but they mostly held a southern position in the outskirts of the urban fighting. The also didn't have these fake ass looking tiger tanks either. Would've been panzers 4s and some 3s most likely some random shit thrown in.
