I still use one of the Fenwick HMG flipping sticks from the early 90s and their 6 ft 6 in Lunkerstik is still a fav worming rod. Good to hear they're becoming competitive again.
@@TylerBrinks unless someone is older they couldn't really know just how good Fenwick rods were back in the '80s and '90s. Their HMG rods we're always good and they did some innovative stuff.
Techna AV is still a solid rod by todays standards, i have both the Techna and HMG. We dont get them in South Africa easily, i'm looking at the Elite bass on tackle warehouse, i wish someone could do a review of the casting rods before the sale ends 😊
I have a awesome collection of fenwick rods and all are in mint condition. I like the old E glass hot sticks, Pacific sticks and surf sticks. I just picked up a mint condition Pacific stik 7 ft spinner. Love it. Beautiful hone gold blank with all labeling in perfect shape. I have a 8 ft 2 PC salmon fenwick legacy rod. Bottom half is graphite, top piece is brown glass. You will NEVER FIND another one like that one
I have both the World Class and the Elite Tech. My World Class (married to a Daiwa Zillion) is a two piece that I throw spinnerbaits on and the Elite Tech (married to a Abu Revo Ike) is used to throw small swim baits. Yep, love them both. Super quality and super good looking as far as aesthetics are concerned. Two 👍s up.

That’s cool! They’re definitely making a push again which is nice to see.

You are right, when I started getting serious they were still well known but huge before my time

Agreed, they were ahead of their time. Wish mine wouldn't have broken at the tip several years ago.

Very nice! Thanks for watching.
The best bass spinning rods I own are Fenwick. HMG66MH-FS and HMGPX69ML-FS-2
Solid rods, glad to see some fellow Fenwick fans
My favorite gear rods are my Fenwick's. I've got a few HMG's that are wonderful.
Those HMGs are solid
Does the new Fenwicks under rate their power like Abu Garcia? I used to love Abu rods but their mediums are every other brand MH and so on.
I would call them more true to power. You are correct about the Abus, from my experience. It’s wild the difference between brands
I bought Abu when I got back in the fishing game and everything about their rod specs are way off. 😅
@@tims_always_fishing7117agree, especially the Veritas those were a lot heavier than what they said on the rod
