I’ve gotta get me one of these! I bought the filbert after I saw your video on that and love that brush. It makes such pretty shapes. Doing birds lately and will try it for the feathers. Thanks for all you do Jenna. You’re so gifted and sharing that gift is just an amazing 🤩. I call it ultimate selflessness! Blessings and Love to you and to the whole world!
Ooooo that’s a great idea Rita 🦅
I say ditto! Truly a great way to get in larger marks in quicker with a brushstroke and it’s overall appearance. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you Jenna. I sure appreciate you! Love your tutorials.
Try a Hake brush. Forgot to mention, thanks for being a selfless person ready to share in the art community. Big hugs 🫂 🤗
“Fuddling”. My favourite word in this video! Some great, freeing ideas here. Thank you 😊
The Aqua Eliet brushes has changed the watercolor world, they are all fabulous 🥰‼️
What fun it would be to use this little work horse on a very large canvas with some classical music playing in the background, just letting those brushstrokes fly!☺️
Sounds lovely!
I don't know how you can do it, make it look so simple. I love your technique. Love watching your videos 📹.
Can't wait to try this!
I second that last comment… I gotta get me one of these as well!
It's so fun!
Amazing! Thank you for always thinking outside the box! I don’t have this brush… but I have the flat wash brush that I tried this with… super fun! X
You make it look sooo easy! Beautiful!
Just beautiful!
Jenna, try dipping your brush corners into 2 different colors (red and yellow) then place the yellow corner on your watercolor paper with it being the center of the flower and squiggle the flower petals.
I always love ur ELEGANT Art work
When you said "oooh" and looked at the paint color, I felt that 🤣🥰
As usual, I’m impressed ! Thank you 🙏
I like these flowers better when you make them with your filbert brush, but I absolutely love the colors used for your flowers!!
Wonderful demonstration..I love the brush. FYI - quinacidone is pronounced Kwin akri done (long o, silent e). This pigment type is made by lots of different companies.
Great idea 👍. I don't have that brush exactly, but do have one kinda of similar. Just yesterday, I was doodling around and decided to try and make quick flowers by using my round brush like a stamp...going around in a circle...just a basic daisy shape...not as intricate or pretty as yours, but fun and easy. Thanks, I'll have to try yours. 😊
I've got the Cotman version of this brush, and now I see what else it can do, I'll definitely have a go! 😁
Great, relaxing presentation on the video, Jenna! Nice work on your demonstration. I really enjoy using these types of brushes, since I love making one- stroke brush marks. This particular brush looks like it’s definitely a keeper for the collection. Thank you! 🤗🙏🏼
Glad you enjoyed it, Adriana!
Those flowers are very pretty ✨❤
Thanks for sharing this tip. I must confess that I was totally unaware of the mottler brush’s versatility.
Esta increible, que preciosas flores. Muchas gracias.
I love this 💓
Those 2 colors are awesome! Nice flowers…I need to get some more brushes ☝🏽🙏🏽🙋🏻♀️👍🏽Mia
My personal favorite is the dagger brush, but this mottler looks amazing for those freestyle pokey little floral details, I think this would be perfect for big bold protea flowers
Amazing
Hooray for the “underdog” flat brush! And for your demonstration of its many brushstrokes 👏🏻 Look up Frank Francese for stunning watercolours with flat brushes ❤️
I haven’t used this brush, but Sennelier Raphael Soft Aqua brushes are also very good, from smaller sizes (black handle) up to 40mm (1 1/2 inches) with brown handle and a similar design to the Princeton brush demonstrated. Synthetic, but very soft and holds a lot of water 🤗
Love this, thanks!
Bellissimo!
This is fantastic! The Aqua Elite Mottler is one of the first "real" brushes I bought when you & a couple other artists convinced me to try watercolor again. I saw it at Michael's for $4 and recognized the name - I think the shape of it just didn't fit in their display? Whatever, they were dumping it & I caught it, LOL! I've always used it for washes or pre-wetting the paper. Now I need to try this new method - - and it's Friday! Weekend artistry, here I come!😊
So fantastic art looking forward to see more
Wow?! $4 what a bargain Kim! 🖌
Thanks for all your inspiration and encouragements Jenna! Question, where did you find that brush rest, on your left? I'm always struggeling with that! Thanks again!
Will try technique
I will get it
Beautiful!! Sadly the brush is not available on Amazon at this time. I will keep looking. 🙂💕
💃🏽🖌 Dancing brush
I bought a 1" mottler from Rosemary then didn't know what to do with it, thanks for the ideas.
Do you prefer the Heritage to the Aqua Elite rounds because of the stiffness & spring?
I got a good laugh at her reading the wrong part of Quinacridone lakes' tube
Looks and acts similar to the Chinese Wash brush.
Hmm! Shades of Bob Ross "happy little brush" painting
Just ordered one, expect it any day now! St. Louis Art supply. 🙂
Thanks, interesting techniques with this brush, but for me, it is not good enough to create the illusion of a flower. Better for other subjects.
It's so simple hahahaha
