All of the Year 12 AQA Required Practicals explained - A Level Physics REVISION

- This is a summary of all the year 12 AQA required practicals you must carry out for the Practical Endorsement for AQA AS Level and A Level Physics. You need to not only carry these out but also know and understand them, hence why I made video to explain them so it can be used as A Level Physics revision.
I talk through the equipment, measurements and procedures for investigating waves on a string, the double slit experiment and diffraction gratings, determining the gravitational field strength, the Young modulus of a wire, resistivity of a wire and finally the emf and internal resistance of a cell.
To find the video with all the Year 13 practicals, head over to my website at:

Thanks for watching,
Lewis

Thank you SO MUCH. Whole topic videos (if you consider grouping the practicals as a topic) for A-Levels are impossible to find, so I’m really grateful for this.
Very helpful for my mock exam!
how'd it go?
This is very helpful, please also do the Year 13 one!
I have! You can find them on my website at: www.alevelphysicsonline.com/aqa-year-13-practicals-revision
@@PhysicsOnline do you have a video on the year 13 practicals on youtube?
@@mfr-247 www.alevelphysicsonline.com/year-13-practicals-schools
@@mfr-247 Year 13 stuff are blocked behind a pay wall (which is fair tbh)
thanks this is so helpful!
ABSOLUTE LIFESAVER
Really helpful Thank you
May God bless you
is it not v = 2 x gradient for the first practical? this what my school told us?
Great video thanks. I was just wondering if we also need to know the practical about thermistors?
Nice one. My older son has his A-level tomorrow. I'd have paid your £20 if the subscription were to have lasted until my younger son takes his A-level in 2 and a half years. He'll have to make do with my tuition this evening. We'll subscribe at the start of the next academic year. Nice drawings by the way. Do you actually demonstrate the experiments I.R.L.?
18:51 convert to metres?
Thanksssssss
OCR A please
When you are taking a measurement and say the resolution is 1mm, to what precision do you record to? For example, 98.5cm vs 98.52cm.
That would be 98.5 mm (to the closest millimetre)
@PhysicsOnline I saw in an aqa exam paper where there is a drawing of a ruler and a length you have to measure. The ruler’s graduations were 1mm but you had to record the length to 0.1mm by estimating. It didn’t tell you though, I know this by looking at the MS.
In CPAC 1 do you have to investigate the effects of all the given variables (length, tension, mass/unit length) on freq., or can you just do one, e.g length?
Thank you so much 😊
18:48 mm to m?
Sorry, yes convert to metres
Hi there, will you do year 13 required practicals for AQA?? Would be much appreciated!
Thanks,
Aditya
I have! Available on my website.
Will this work for Edexcel IAL?
I'm really worried about my alternative to practical paper.
Rear
Are you doing a practical video for ocr a?
I will be
Does the same come for IAL ? Exams next week....
Please do ocr please
Can you please do this video for OCR?
It’s pretty much the same practicals
Can u do one for a alevel ocr a pleaseee
Coming soon
are these still required practicals now
You don't have to do them all yourself now (2020) but you will still be asked questions about them in the exams.
Edexcel IAL please!!
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee make fast for Edexcel 😭 because I have next weekkk
