They were demonstrations of a soft (software) reset and a full vehicle reset (or deep soft reset) A hard reset involves disconnecting the 12 volt battery and there are a number or important steps for that. It was a nice demo though. Very helpful
Sorry, this is incorrect. Your instructions only performed a soft reset, and can be done while driving. A hard reset AKA "Power Cycle" is done only while in park w/doors closed by going to Controls, Safety and Security, and select "Power Off". Do not touch the brake, open the doors or anything for 3 minutes. Then touch the brake to power back up.
Awesome! I was a bit skeptical when at first neither option worked… but then a full 1 minute “HARD RESET” brought our 2020 Model 3 back to the land of the living on this freezing afternoon. Thank you for the helpful information.

Hi, I have a question. If I do a hard reset, where everything is wiped like profiles, navigations info, etc, would FSD also be removed?
Thank you so much !!

I’ve lost navigation. I’ve done both resets.
Could this be a Internet problem at the moment?
Did you fix it?
Same problem here...

Do you need a hiding camera man to make this work?
Bro what
The “hard reset” is a myth. It does nothing that the scroll wheel reset doesn’t do. The next step would be disconnecting/reconnecting power.
