    This Video contains Multiple choice questions about Concepts of Glycolysis.Degradation of glucose to two molecules of pyruvate or lactate by sequence of enzyme
    catalyzed reactions constitutes the process of glycolysis. It is a catabolic pathway. If
    glucose is degraded to pyruvate then it is called as aerobic glycolysis. Usually it occurs
    in presence of oxygen. If glucose is degraded to lactate then it is anaerobic glycolysis.Usually it occurs in the absence of oxygen. It is also called as Embden-Meyerhof pathway,
    because the reactions of glycolytic pathway were elucidated by Embden and Meyerhof.

    EMP path way is also called glycolysis 4 AtP is formed during payoff phase and six from two NADH so total is 10 ...2 is used for respiratory process net is 10-2= 8 ATP😇

    See question 23
    Both Mg++ and K+ are required. In other steps of glycolysis, only Mg++ or Mn++ is required but for the last step where enzyme pyruvate kinase works, Mg++ and K+ both are required

    • @aurora1679
      @aurora1679 Год назад

      No both is not required in the last step .Only Mg2+ is required.
      Both is required in 9th step where enzyme enolase is used.

    4th question is wrong.....
    one ATP is utilised, if you are asking that how much ATP are utilised in glycolysis / glucose breakdown then Answer will be 2

    • @Sntofi

      The phosphorylation of glucose requires two ATP molecules. This process occurs during the initial steps of glycolysis, where glucose is converted to glucose-6-phosphate.
