Thanks for your great coverage and comments regarding our layout Checkamus Canyon. Good to catch up with you again and that most things behaved themselves when you were around to video.
Thanks for taking the time to do this report when also managing your own trade stand.
Thank you!
Will thanks again for another wonderful video
Thanks again!
Enjoyed your coverage of Gisborne, my fav period and colour of the Victorian railways
Thank!
Thanks once again for a great video!!
My pleasure!
Thx Will - excellent!
Glad you liked it!
As a Canadian I love that BC layout
THANK YOU FOR VIDEO
You're welcome!
Great Video, Thanks for Sharing !
Thanks for watching!
Wonderful video
Many thanks!
Unfortunately, I wasn't able to go in person so it is always appreciated when you showcase the layouts in your usual excellent style. The Blue Mountains layout looks excellent and it is so nice to see the varied and attractive trains of NSW being displayed. The Caves Express, how evocative of an exciting destination. I noticed quite a few Hornby items in there and was amused to see a 38 class NSW steam loco hauling a rake of Hornby LMS coaches that even contained an old Tri-ang R21 coach snuck in there for good measure. It's all good fun and trains are trains, no matter where they come from. It seemed that the OO items didn't look too out of place on a layout for HO. I loved it. All the layouts were fab and I just wish I could have caught the Tait to Flemington, maybe next year. 👍😊
Massive thanks for the coverage of Ffarquhar Will! Was great meeting you at the exhibition and I appreciate the support :)
No worries! Keen to see it again!
Hi Will, as usual your report on the Melbourne Model exhibition was excellent.
It was very nice meeting you at the Wandong inter club run on Saturday.
The weather was perfect and it was one of the biggest interclub runs we have ever had.
Some time ago I suggested to you if you had time, have a look at the live steam part of our wonderful hobby.
I told my son Greg about it and he decided to invite you to our interclub run.
I was not sure about this as you usually promote exhibitions and train trips etc. that are open to the public.
I very pleased you came and I hope you enjoyed yourself. I did see you running around on a locomotive late in the afternoon so I guess you did.
Will, Thanks for taking the time to film, produce and narrate for this channel bud. Really enjoyed this exhibition, hats off to the AMRA.
Much appreciated! Glad you enjoyed it!
I actually attended this event!!! I even bought a Hornby Triang model for $50 from a vendor!!!
Great to hear!
Awesome video mate Best Regards Andrew
Many thanks!
I feel really bad because Alex the lone guy running Ffarquhar, I was supposed to be helping him with this show but I shattered my foot the night before. It took a solid few hours in the hospital that night to realise I wasn't doing the train show anymore. Come Sandown in March and I was very happy to be there!
A great overview of a huge exhibition. So well presented by yourself and the exhibits themsleves. Great work Will.
Many thanks!
I went to this! Wasn’t it amazing!
Excellent to hear! Thanks for coming!
Nice job Will. Excellent to see such great layouts on display.
Glad you enjoyed it
Will, thank you, another excellent exhibition report.
It really looks like a good time was had by all. Thank you for getting the footage you did, it was excellent.
Cheers, and stay safe, Michael
Thanks for another great exhibition report Will. It was interesting with the (enforced) change due to the works at Caulfield, it felt extremely busy at times. Based on a conversation with you at your stall it sounds like they just had way more people than they were expecting this year, which is great on one hand but I could see how it might be disappointing to people on the other. Overall I still found it to be a great show again this year, looking forward to the next one! Cheers!
Thanks for the video Will. I thoroughly enjoyed this event.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Maryborough never fails to impress or inspire!
Some nice overall coverage of what was a busy weekend with plenty of good conversations around the layout. Top work as usual, Will.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great coverage of the exhibition Will. This years show was excellent and I really enjoyed it. The addition of the Tait set shuttles was fantastic and it was also my first time riding the Tait set too.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Fantastic coverage. I was there but was pre-occupied with other stuff at the show. Thanks for doing this and allows me to see the layout in their finer details and nuances.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing layouts, thanks for the report!
(And the beanies)
Glad you like them!
Cheakamus Canyon was a tease. You told us about four bridges and we only saw the approach to one of them 🤣
Sorry! I’ll try harder on future coverage!
@@WillJamesRailways No worries. As you said, you were spread very thin and just trying to capture what you could.
Thanks for all your work providing this Will.
The descriptions said "we'll see exhibits in many different scales, countries and eras"
Yes we did...often mixed up on the the same layout exhibit.
Even though great care and effort was taken for most of the layout to represent a particular location and era in one scale, for some reason numerous items of different scales, countries, locations and eras that would not be seen in the location and era sometimes crept in.
Thanks to RUclips Premium, I can download this and watch it on my 3hr flight I’m about to board 😅
Perfect timing!
A beautiful thing! Thanks mate!
Next year I think you should go check out the Newport railway last time I went there I had a great time
I made a view on the museum a couple of years ago as well as the last open day!
KATOOMBA...what a beautiful layout...but a shame they allowed unprototypical trains such as the 38 hauling pommy carriages, the small open cab steam loco hauling pommy 4 whhel stock and a 38 hauling a goods train without a guards van.
Surely, if you're going to so much effort to create a great layout, it would be relatively easy to continue the theme with more accurate rolling stock.
I’ll pass that feedback along to them!
Mate those were my trains. I'm a uni student & the sole breadwinner of the family. I don't have the resources to spend $1000+ on one consist.
We're not a supremist club at NSRMA. Note the Southern Aurora & the XPT also running.
Maybe its just me, but if IF the namesake really means anything at all - and you're modelling American, British, German or Japanese..
I feel this is not the exhibition for you, because Its the AUSTRALIAN model railway exhibition. We should also hold one separately for international railways for those interested in that.
Hey! Thanks for watching!
However, I think something might have been misinterpreted here. It’s run by the Australian Model Railway Association (AMRA VIC) we model everything at the club, it’s not exclusive to Australian prototypes!
However I would love to see an all Australian exhibition, there is at least one European exhibition that happens in Sydney I believe!
As a Canadian I love that BC layout
