Every youth baseball team or travel ball organization has seen one or more of these baseball parents at one time or another. The things baseball parents say can be shocking and funny. These baseball parent stereotypes are just a few that we've encountered over the years. Let us know in the comments below if you have any more travel ball parents that weren't mentioned in the video and of course tag "those parents" here for a good laugh!

Oh man, guilty as charged! Fricken' baseball whisper; followed closely by helicopter Dad; and, a dose of over-protector. Love the videos.
In our defense we do it because we care.

This is a great video. I'm an umpire, too. I remember a parent saying to me, "You are missing a good game, Blue," Lol. I didn't record a pitch a kid threw, obviously a strike. The kid was on the team his kid was on. Great video. I love it.
    Gracias Madden

Gracias Sanchez! Appreciate the comment. I’m sorry umpires may have it the worst with some parents.

I've been involved by playing or coaching for over 40 years straight. It's getting worse with all of the AAU teams. Parents spending $3,000 up to just play. One parent I know paid $3,500 plus $2,400 to go to Florida. lol It creates a very tense parent area in the bleachers. I said one day, "good play", and a parent turned and said, "he's supposed to make that play". lol My son was starting to cut in on this lady's son's pitching innings and while my son was pitching a great game she yells out "does the heat effect his diabetes, how much longer can he pitch". My wife and I were about a 100 feet away. That was High School ball. Get ready people it's getting worse.

Spot on! No matter the age... parents never change and as a Coach, you try to manage it but there are some seriously over the top parents out there who try to create clicks against the Coach. However, 98% of the parents are awesome and understand that Little Johnny isn't getting a D1 ride at an 8U tournament.
