Katie was followed everywhere, and every move she made was reported to Tom! Katie actually grew up Catholic! It's only because Katie's Dad's was a smart lawyer, and he helped katie plan and get away! He got Katie a burner phone, because Tom had control over everything that came in and went out on her phone, and everyone she talked to and was around! She couldn't go anywhere, or be with anyone without Body Guards! And that wasn't for Suri's and Katie's protection, it was for Tom's control! That's why he was so blindsided when Katie actually filed for divorce when he was out of town doing a movie, he thought he had enough handlers around her to watch her every move! If Katie didn't have help from her Dad it might have went a different way, Tom might have held Suri hostage in a controlling way, and made Katie fight to get her back! He kept his other two kids from Nicole Kidman, he called her a suppressive person, and didn't let Nicole be their mother anymore! The kids were cold and nasty to her, it broke her heart!

Me to as well David Lucas , I was a part of Scientology in the 80s , it was fine in the first few weeks as they pulled me off the street for a survey, after this I enjoyed being around the Organisation as I was very lonely and from a very dysfunctional childhood . I woke up after a 4 Year time with them ,escorted to the bank to get loans I couldn't afford to pay back and being unwell with Chronic Fatigue for many years . I took them to a tribunal and got the money back to pay back to the bank . Needless to say I was a mess mentally and physically after so many years ! I am to them a suppressive person!😡 It's crazy because I am not Narcassist nor a Sociopath but a shy person that lacked confidence. They label people who leave or speak up . Your comment is true .

By what I’ve seen/heard/read via Leah Remini and Mike Ringer, Scientology demands EVERYTHING from you, to the exclusion of everything else, including family (husbands and wives are separated, and kids are sent to classes based on age), and if a woman somehow becomes pregnant while a member, she’s forced to have an abortion.
What exact evidence do you have to say Katie is an amazing mother? She behaves just like any other average celebrity mother who receives about half a million dollars per year from her ex-husband to spend on Suri as she sees fit.

I have no idea what kind of person Suri Cruise is, and I have no understanding of Katie Holmes personality. I have always wondered if Katie ever even loved Tom or if she was just carried away with his celebrity, while Tom seemed to really love/like Katie at first. But I cannot understand how Katie failed to discuss with Tom his religious views and her religious views before having a child, and whether they were on the same page about the role of the parent. Those two items are among the highest priority items to understand about each other before marriage or children. After Tom and Nicole split most of us believed Scientology interfered with Nic and Tom, so why would Katie fail to consider Tom's obsession with Scientology? I think sneaking away while he was out of the country was very immature. Her father was a divorce attorney, she should have had a face to face conversation with him about the divorce. Based on the number of photo opportunities she has provided the media with Suri over the last several years, I feel she is also using her daughter for publicity.
Another thing I cannot understand with celebrities like Katie is why they spend thousands of dollars for one designer tee shirt or other clothing that their toddler or infant will grow out of in 5 minutes. Babies don't care if they wear designer clothes or Walmart clothes so the parents do it for their own selfish reasons like to show off to the public how rich they are. Instead they should dress their children nicely but not necessarily in $25,000 designer pants, and instead donate the remander since it is expendable to so many important, life saving, and worthy causes. The amount that rich celebrities WASTE just to show off makes me sick. I don't expect them to sacrifice comfort, style, travel, nice hotels or any of those things that money buys, but some things are so over the top it is simply waste. Why pay $400,000 for a handbag you use once or twice a year at some fancy event when you could buy a very nice handbag and still have so much money left over to contribute to others in desperate need. Meanwhile these same celebrities lecture the average citizen about donating their hard earned dollars to all the poor people around the world while spending 10 million dollars on their toddlers clothes for a year. The waste in America by US celebrities is so disgusting, I have lived in a third world country for years as a middle class person by that country's standards and you are lucky if you get one fresh apple or pear within a whole week, or any fresh water that you don't have to wait for hours to boil and let it cool before you can even drink some water.

Parents give up their children to adoption all the time (and closed adoptions mean NO CONTACT) because they know they should not be a parent.
My mother taught me to be a “good upstanding citizen” but we are mother/daughter, not “best friends.”
