Not a tornado. The storm was classified as just a storm with Category 1 hurricane force winds in excess of 80 mph. Yeah, crazy I know but the technology is simply so good now that it can actually tell the difference. The last official tornado to hit Dallas proper was October 20, 2019. I live in Dallas.
I was in a parking structure when it hit. As a California native i was in shock by the amount of rain and wind i could barely walk checked the news the next day and pilots were reporting debris at 20k feet in the air
You’re right, that day Dallas did not have a tornado but just extreme wind. We got a tornado here in north Denton tho , on May 25th around 10:30 pm . We had no warning all day, the weather just showed cloudy , and then I was about to go to sleep when I hear the tornado sirens blasting more than one time , that was scary.

We registered 80 mph winds in that storm at my ranch. My wife is a storm spotter for the National Weather Service service. We live 35 miles northwest of the DFW Airport. It was chocked exactly as it should have been. The winds were strong enough to move it, straight line winds caught the tail just right to be able to spin it. As soon as the angle of the tail was far enough turned it stopped turning. The landing gear was broken because it was chocked and stuck in place. The plane was taken out of service and the landing gear had to be replaced. The wing didn't touch the jet bridge and was not damaged. Carry on.
