    Record will matter, but most important this season for Billy’s survival will be style points. If we play clean and exciting football and win 6 plus games, I think he gets another season. DJL will play and I suspect toss some balls downfield 💪🏻😎

      Except they won the Natty during that time. I doubt this will happen this year but the comparison is valid. In fact, I think the Mertz/Leak comparison is spot on. Both good enough to win but don't get the respect they deserved. Saying that, I think the Gators will be better than most people think and it won't be because of the offense. If the defense was better last year we would have won quite a few more games. Don't be surprised if we go into the GA game undefeated if the defense gets it together.

    Gator Nation is obviously down, but hopefully not quite out just yet. IMO, Billy absolutely pulled a rabbit out of a hat by landing DJ. The plan now is for the next great feat of magic to be winning more games than he loses in '24. Where's Gandolph when you need him?

  • @thinkof2morrow
    @thinkof2morrow Месяц назад

    Keep DJ on the bench in 2024 if possible. Let the guy come into 2025 with 100% confidence, training and a ramped up college skillset. Kind of like what they did with CJ Stroud.

    Real question: how many games saves Napier’s job? I’d put it at 8 wins. The reality is that it’s likely not going to happen. It’s easy to be a good looking team when you’re playing against a bad team. The question is whether Florida looked good as a good team playing a good team or a bad team team looking good against a bad team. Hard to tell if massive improvement during spring ball. I just think Napier is a poor coach.
