Zeos found that they become better on TUBES! I was thinking of the Zeus ..then I heard about the Poseidon…..Christmas is coming. Btw, the KATO is definitely on my list ! Nice video 🍻
Nicely Done. I think the Sigva Phoenix was a $255 bassy headphone maybe to compare ? Do you have any experience personally purchasing any kick starter audio gear ? Thanks
Nice first impression on the HarmonicDyne Poseidon... The new KZ ZEX is having good first impressions and reviews, and noticed you haven't reviewed any KZs lately. Would love to see you review KZs again as your review on the KZ ZSN was my basis on my purchase and am still using my 2nd bought pair. The KZ DQ6 and KZ AZ09 are also worth reviewing, I think. Anyways, thanks!
Bery coated diaphragms aren't the same as actually bery metal diaphragms like the ones found on focal headphones and speakers. They cost a fraction of what a stamped metal beryllium foil costs to produce.
@@niccerkadoabuckado8256 yeah, because the weight and the stiffness of a diaphragm have no correlation to it's performance with transients, i.e. attack and decay, whatsoever. Not to say those are as important as the tuning, though. There's no magical material that allows to pull of any tonality, however screwed up it might be, with good results.
Interesting, that was interresting, Mark. I'm sure you can get a lot more juice out of your DAP if you put it through some fully analog transistor-based desktop amp (old school way). It could be a whole different story. With good match you can experience some crazy things considering soundstage, imaging and holography overall. And you're not gonna need any DAC. I'm listening to Deezer at home from my smartphone this way and I can't be happier.
I've got a couple decent headphone amps -- Schiit Vali 2 and THX AAA One -- but at the same volume levels, it's hard to hear a difference between them and my DAP.
@@SuperReview Can't wait for it. If you rate it highly I'll have to say goodbye to either both of my 'phones I currently own or one of my beat up kidneys, man. I'm already on the verge after eyeing them up for a couple of months following HBB's praise and especially after hearing Crin's first impressions recently, though. Your opinion might become the ultimate validation.
@35:50 for a headphone with a bassy reputation but which I found to be fairly nicely balanced the Monoprice Retro might be one rec (at a fraction of the price - sound is not far off my recollection of the Fidelio).
I own both among many others and I don’t personally think they sound anything alike, not meaning to disagree just for the sake of disagreeing, I just think they personally sound very different from one another.
@@davidcoons89 If you mean the Retro and Fidelio X2HR as I remember them they are both warm, lush and relaxed sounding with good spaciousness (even though closed and semi open), bass extension and impact while being fairly evenly balanced (not particularly V, bassy or bright). Fidelio has more articulate mids and is maybe less prone to sibilance. Be interested to hear your views on differences (and against either of the HarmonicDyne if you've heard them).
Poseidon have +5% "naturalness" in treble AND ( !TEORETICALLY! ) slightly better articulation in "heavy layered busy music" (SymphonicMetal) (and it's important for me) Zeus has +20% of SoundStage compare to Poseidon From some review : "As a fan of guitar-driven music, the Zeus offer the more energetic, driving listen. At the same time, the added detail of the Poseidon is one of its best features...... The Poseidon is better for mainstream pop and hip-hop. The Zeus is better for rock, but I did find myself missing the added touch of awesome the Poseidon delivers in the bass." ok.. we can EQ Zeus any way :D Poseidon has better "articulation" in "heavy layered busy music" ? It's true ?
Hey brother, I enjoy your reviews. I am disabled and cannot walk so every dollar counts and need your opinion on two iems. The acoustyx r 110 vs etymotic er2se. Both are around 100 and provide incredible mids and clarity from my studies on them. Neutral sound signature.
Caught the replay! Awesome work man.
Cheers Jefe 🤙
Testing the Poseidon must have been a real adventure!
Is that a God of War reference.

Good question. Thinking... I don't think I've done any audio-related Kickstarters or other crowd fundings.

Both are for audiofools

Always nice reviews. 27:50 pls let us listen the quality of output.
You wanna hear the music?
Do you think you will be reviewing the 7Hz Timeless iem? It seems to be getting a lot of praise, curious on your thoughts.
Yes, just got Timeless in, review is coming.

ER2SE 👍
Could you EQ the sub bass to bring it up to flat or would you end up with a distorted mess at normal listening volumes.
Not something I've tried.
“Iffy Sharpness” was my space-fi, progressive glam band in high school.
Wanna go on tour with my progressive jazz band, Finite Element Materials?

Have you guys reviewed the ABYSS 1266 Phi TC?
Nope, never heard them.
If i have the zeus, should i get the poseidon?
I will have to spend more time listening to really say, but based on impressions so far... I dunno if you get much by owning both.
@@SuperReview thanks for the reply, guess i just keep the zeus for now. But the kickstarter price for the poseidon is really tempting 🥵

I lost count mate. Just review a KZ.
