Hallo ...saya pecinta atau hobi dunia audio...saya dari indonesia...dan saya selalu belajar dari teman teman audio ,baik di dalam negeri atau di luar negri..salam audio..terimakasih anda sudah berbagi video menarik ini.
Line/Pad: Functionally, the explanation is pretty much correct. This button should be pressed when inputting a "line level" signal. Typically not pressed when accepting a "mic level" signal. There should rarely be a case when this needs to be pressed when accepting a mic level signal. If this has to be pressed for a mic, something might be wrong. Or, assuming the mic can handle such a high SPL without distortions, and is getting that, that it needs to be padded to not clip the preamp on the mixer. I've used the GL2400 and ZED 436 and have never had to pad anything coming from the stage.
to sum it up a sound mixer is basically glorified equalizer thats why its not hard to use, most people hook these sound mixers to a crown amplifier and blast music
X-Ray What should he be using it for? Remember, most of us have at best been using DAW's, and have no real experience with physical soundboards. I wish all the tutorials weren't in churches. These guys are not pros. Where can I find a real production level audio board video?
when i going to record my vocal with metronome and background music track the metronome and the background music also record with vocal track.can you guide me step by step how to fix it.i have used nuendo cubase fl studio.all daw have the same problem.but when i am recording midi with my midi keyboard itz record absolutely fine.btw i am using m-audio audiophile 2496 internal audio interface with ashton mxl6 6 channel mixer.sorry for the english.i am not native english speaker
+Caleb Allison No. It takes signal from mics, instruments, drum machine, etc. and allows the person to create a mix of those signals to send to a external device (computer, PA system, etc.). If you want something that makes a beat, you would be looking for a drum machine or keyboard that has that feature.
Simple, just don't do it. Microphones, recorders and decent speakers reproduce sound exactly. Home equipment varies far beyond any manipulation you do anyway.
Just started trying to help with sound at our Church and was overwhelmed by the board, this really has helped, thanks
I used to control the soundboard for my church awhile back and this video forsure would've up'd my audio game. +1

I am sorry, but line button doesn't cut anything in half, it switches between line input and xlr input on the channel
His has a pad on it..... therefore it would cut some of the signal, I believe
Fuck's a pad :) ?
although he shouldn't use the trim knob to ride the level as he describes : )

What does a mixer do does it make the beat
+Caleb Allison No. It takes signal from mics, instruments, drum machine, etc. and allows the person to create a mix of those signals to send to a external device (computer, PA system, etc.).
