Disclaimer:
This is just an experiment. My experience of this plant (carpet seed) is not a full water plant that can live normally underwater but includes land plants. This plant will die slowly for a maximum of three months. So I suggest not to plant this plant to decorate your aquascape. If you do that it is at your own risk. thanks.

Approximately two weeks this hair grass plant can grow and can be soaked in water to decorate the bottom of the aquascape (carpet).
This type of carpet seed can be found in aquarium stores, aquascape equipment or at market places.
How to plant it is quite easy, just patience is needed. First prepare the tank, hair grass seeds, and some material for the base layer as a growing medium.
Store wet stones at the bottom of the tank then wet sand. To maximize growth, basic fertilizers can be given. After that cover with a layer of wet sand or soil.
Sprinkle the plant seeds until evenly distributed or as needed. Flush using a sprayer slowly every day. Store in a place that is not directly exposed to sunlight.
Just one or two days, this plant has grown. After growing evenly (about 14 days) can be given water.

Your seeds germinated and got that tall in two days?? With a rich substrate, 82F temp and bright light...it took me 5 days for thr grass seeds to germinate and the grass to grow 1 inch....
They melt after a while as the seeds which are sold are mostly non aquatic.
oooo so that's the problem. I try to more that once an after a while its melting

That is not the same plant that aquarists know as dwarf hair grass. Real dwarf hair grass seed (Eleocharis species) is very small. Real dwarf hair grass seed is so small that 25 or 30 of them would fit in just one of the seeds shown in the video. If you see seeds being sold as dwarf hair grass seed that is large like shown in the above video then IT IS NOT AN ELEOCHARIS SPECIES and is being misrepresented.
Can i add aquarium water from the beginning (spraying)?
I don’t see why not, I mean it’s gonna get flooded with it so yeah. Don’t quote me on it but I guess so.

It germinates in a single day?? That's surprising.. Its been a week since I am checking. The seeds I used show no signs of germination. Any ideas? I just bought the seeds from a nearby aquarium shop and they didn't know the species either :(

I bought only one strand of dwarf grass and broke it up into many individual shoots how long do u think it would take to spread I have it spaced out all around a 50 gallon
I use standard grass seeds you get for your lawn works a charm for me can be picked up at any local hardware store like hime depo, B&Q, HOMEBASE etc...

Yes you are right, I have tried and it can last four months at the most.

seeds are waste of money and time after some days they lose their hold from soil ive tried alot of times with different type of soils and stuff they grow well but at last they leave the bottom nd float on the surface

there are many different days to growing up these seeds, it took 5 days for me untill the seeds growing up.. but some people said it took 2,3 days to grew up, just be patient and make sure the humidity is good..

Hanya sampai tumbuh normal, setelah itu harus diatur jam terang dan jam gelap. Tapi kalau disimpan dekat cahaya matahari (tidak langsung), tidak perlu menggunakan lampu.

Aquarium carpet is very annoying to clean specially when the food gets underneath plus it needs a good amount of co2
