    such a well done video, the diagrams and example images were a perfect addition and you left in a lot of footage to see exactly where things were instead of cutting away instantly, thank you :)

    Great video! If this car is still under factory warranty, I didn't realize that Kia would allow the use of aftermarket parts for a warranty repair.

      Great point! I have to double check it with my service advisor why this repair ended up customer pay.

    Very educational I have a 2021 Kia soul 2.0 same motor if the bottom hose is cool and top hose is hot then it’s the thermostat or the water pump? If anything do I replace both to be on the safe side

    • @WrenchingRyan
      @WrenchingRyan  6 месяцев назад +1

      My experience I’ve never replace a water pump due to impeller failure, most of the time they fail due to a coolant leak, if you’re engine is overheating and no coolant leak found then the culprit will be the thermostat being stuck closed, but if you recently service a coolant flush then the engine overheats you might have airlock issues.

      @@WrenchingRyan do I just keep burping the system till there’s no more bubbles coming from the radiator outlet?

      @@johnsalinas1073 is your engine overheating?

    • @johnsalinas1073

      @@WrenchingRyan I think it’s air pockets or bubbles causing to overheat cause the bottom hose got hot when I was burbing the the air out of the hoses it started getting hot again so I let run idle the pedal to 2 and the half rpm for three cycles for three minutes a piece then let it idle at 1 rpm for five minutes the antifreeze started bubbling out and started flowing out for a minute yes it started over heating when I took it for test drive yesterday cause I think I didn’t burp the system all the way cause I’m getting heat better even yesterday I was getting heat too figure it was ready for test drive then it over heated

    Do you have any link for that funnel kit that you’re using? Where did you buy it? I bought one kit and mine started spilling, it didn’t fit properly

    • @WrenchingRyan
      @WrenchingRyan  5 месяцев назад

      I bought this long time ago and I believed they don’t make this style anymore but my co worker uses this a.co/d/aexoLO9 and it does work fine. Thanks for watching.

      @@WrenchingRyan but did you have any leak when you did the bleeding air system with funnel on top? Was the fit of the cap exactly as the oem cap from Kia? No leaks?

    • @WrenchingRyan
      @WrenchingRyan  5 месяцев назад

      @@joshlazko2953 The kit includes adapters you can securely tight the funnel but my adapters are all gone lol, so I just used the funnel itself and no leak during the bleeding process.
