God, I have always loved choppers, my husband and I both had Pan and Shovel choppers.. I thank the good Lord for that, I grew up in an era,( 60's and 70's} that choppers were it, I never had to ride a stock even in 2020..... My preference..............

KLR 650 is a great bike that’s been around for many of years. A friend bought one last year to put in his shop with his Harleys and he rides the KLR more than the others.

At 67, i have a Heritage Softail 2006 having some cam work done. The shop has three or four baggagers looking at them, then i say no. I love my Softail.

I've owned a evo softail for many many years. Love that bike. I recently rode a twin cam softail, wow what a difference. Those twin cam softails ride like a touring chassis. If I didn't have a wife who loves to ride with me I'd also get a twin cam softail and have no need for a touring bike.

I have a thirty year old Heritage, a 6 year old Street Glide and a twenty three year old Bonneville. But six years ago I got a Suzuki DR 650 and I ride it with people that are half my age ( I'm 67 ) and I live near the Pisgah Forest of NC. I really enjoy the verity of a dual sport / road bike . The DR is used more in early spring / fall and some mild winter days when the others are put up. And I will ride it when it's rainy out, I swing by the car wash and hose it off and it's ready for the next ride. I don't know when the day will come that I'll have to stop riding but I'll have fun till then.

Lot of nice bikes. It’s always good to get prayed for and get your bike blessed. Down here in Georgia we do it a little bit different. But it don’t matter as long praying to the one and only God. It might be nice riding with your brother. But you are right how much will you really ride it. Have a blessed week my friend 👍👍👊👊☝️☝️🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Never too late, I rode my first enduro at 67. It was the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. As a result I work out almost everyday to stay in shape to ride off road. I got a KLR about 5 years ago I like it but it doesn't do the Hi way as well as I would like. It's fun off road but a little heavy for that. It's an old saying the KLR does everything well but nothing great.

I have been to a few bike blessings. Held at a big church in Grove City we had a service, a ride then back for some chow. Part of the fun is looking at other bikes and seeing what mods they have. Also, seeing and meeting other believers.

Hey Itchy ! Glad that you had a good ride and got your bike blessed by the Christian Motorcyclists Association. Worth the wait.
As a member of CMA, I know that there are more expedient ways to offer blessings to such a large group. One of our past-Chapter Presidents referred to it as a "corporate" blessing, whereupon even a single CMA'r could say a blessing over the entire group, and each biker would then get, if they choose, the Bike Blessing sticker and a printed tract called The Greatest Blessing (which has the plan of salvation on it). If individuals would still like to have a more personal one-on-one prayer, it's possible, but patience is a must. It's truly about the biker and an invitation or rededication to follow Jesus Christ, not the bike. God bless. ✝🙏

There’s not much logic in buying a motorcycle, but if you’re a biker, logic doesn’t figure. I’ve been riding for 58 years, and I want a bunch of bikes to sit next to my Ultra Limited.

I saw your video today, yesterday when you went to stinger Harley. And then moseyed on over to thrill point. That's where I got my bike. 2010 Yamaha roadstar 1700 fuel injection. It's a 102. Funny you mention about the KLR cuz that's the bike I sold to get my Yamaha only had it for about one summer and I try to use it as a cruiser. I could not everything nice about the bike except the comfort of the seat

Here's my dilemma, 'had an XL500R for decades, air cooled, it could sit unused for months but would kick into service when asked.. 'Built up a Harley and ran both together, until I made the big mistake of letting them both go. 'Lived the misery for while, now running a Big Twin.. ..only I hardly ever ride it, for a variety of reasons, but mostly I don't journey and nine months a year we're up to our knees in mud here.
I miss my Trail Bike, I could ride it every day, short trips and errands, rain / shine, on or off road. It was great for turning errands into something more.. I have that hole in my life.
I could get a 350 Royal Enfield, a Himalayan, an Interceptor, of course I love the Triumph Tigers (about the only "Adventure" bike I'd own), but the Triumphs are big bucks.. - we don't seem to have Trailies around these days.
We can't get the Suzuki DR650S here anymore, you can though and I suggest you do (or the KLR), before *you* have them taken away too.
When Honda put a fairing on the XL600R in 1984, I wasn't alone in wondering if they really understood.... ..or maybe they did - plastic is expensive.
I like seeing that front wheel and as for "Rider Aids / Modes", use the experience to improve your riding skills eh.

Hello Itchy. I tried the multiple bike thing a few times. Had 4 at one time. I just never had time to ride them all and when I did switch I had to get used to the different characteristics of each bike. Then I had the added cost of multiple tags and insurance. It just didn't work out for me. I just kept my Harley because it was the best all around. I did learn to stay out of the motorcycle shops 😅. My health has kept me from riding so I'm enjoying watching your channel. God Bless and Safe travels. Gara Moody.

Yeow Itchy, You really can't beat Your Evo 99 Fatboy! That 80ci Evo is by far the best Harley engine out there, I bought a brand new 91 Evo Fatboy registered new on St Valentine's Day 1992, and rode it home 80 miles from my nearest Harley Dealership in England, It poured with rain all the way home, and I remember having a beaming smile on my face, I sold it to my Best Friend in 2004 due to Divorce issues, and I still occasionally get to see the Fatboy when I visit Scragg from time to time, I now ride a 2007 Harley Dyna Street Bob Monster Chopper Trike 96 ci, due to my accident at work in 2009, But I must admit that 80ci Evo Motor is a far better engine than the 96ci Twin Cam Engine in my opinion, and the Evo will manage double the miles per gallon compared to the Twin Cam, But Yeah Man! It would be great to be wealthy enough to be able to afford a stable full of Bikes, 1 for every day of the week! 😂😂😂😁😉 Mike from Wales over here in the UK RHDF 👍🤘😎🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Mark, "Pull back on the reigns", use you brain, think about it. Good advice from dad, ....... because there's always something newer, bigger, better, But really not needed. It's like going to a smorgasbord, all you can eat buffet, I mean how much can one eat before upchucking and all that food goes to waste. Setting limits, setting goals, sticking to a budget if need be. Just good olde fashion common sense. You' know what to do. BTW speaking of Jay Lenno, he too can only ride or drive one car or bike at a time. I'll bet he has so many he's bound to forget what's he's got in the barn. Nice to see you got your warm weather already. We're still in the mid 50's & low 60's and that's actually good riding conditions as far as I'm concerned. I was sitting inside a few hours ago when I heard that familiar rumble & looked out the window. I thought - Hey that biker must be lost since he just went up a dead end road next to me. No he wasn't lost., he was looking for me, tho I never met him before. So as we were chatting he said I've seen you & your neighbor biker riding around these parts. So he's another local Rider (in his early 70's) looking for locals to ride with. His attire/jacket has those bright safety yellow/reflective stripes which signals that he's the type of rider I'm more pleased to hang with. I picked up a bike jack a while ago, needs to be bolted together., might be tomorrows project.... unless the good weather twists my arm. Thanx Itchy for your easy going story telling once again.

Itchy dude and his fatboy is like the lone ranger and silver you don't just replace your best friend so ride on with pride and loyalty, Ride that baby as badge of honor. Every body wants new but old is whats really cool it says been there done that and thats good enough. Everyone wants what they don't have but when you have the best theres no need for anything else. You could buy a new bike but almost 25 years ago you made one of the best decisions you ever made you bought a Harley and your still going.

Thanks itchy I enjoyed the bike ride! I’m sorry but this whole blessing of the bikes is extremely silly, because Jesus isn’t vey fond of people who know of Jesus, and don’t take him seriously,it’s a great insult to know Of him,and totally ignore him,Just read in the book of revelation chapter 2:14~18 From the very lips of Jesus again it doesn’t matter what I think it doesn’t matter what you think or anybody else for that matter, but really what matters is what Jesus thinks and he’s telling us right here that he wishes we either hot for him or cold but if we are lukewarm{casually consider him as a side issue} he will spew us out of his mouth in other words want nothing to do with us it’s really quite silly and it may sound insulting or hogwash but if you don’t think biblically then you’re not gonna know what Jesus thinks and why bother getting a blessing when it really doesn’t have any value except for a few moments. That’s Jesus’s opinion, The one that only matters, if it was me I would run from the whole blessings of the bike deal because it’s all really just what men think unless that is if you take Jesus very serious,And there may be some there that do that. Jesus is telling us that is a great insult to him to know of him, and not take him serious.
