This album is great love Hell is my home and machine man
One on one live version is pure metal!
ヘルイズホーム!ワンオンワン!、フィードオンミー。メタルサフィア!粒揃いでジューダス番外としてたのしめますね🎉
Hell is home 😎👏👏👏
Although this definitely isn't their top album for me, I still enjoy listening to it. (Metal Messiah was playing on my ginormous playlist as I got home from work today) Some solid songs on this album.
It's about motorcycle racing...Machine man
You are right, it's not bad, got some good stuff, it's just as a big Priest fan it is not an album you reach for but when songs come on it's ok . Hell is Home is the best of the 3. Priest!!!
Perfectly said
Hell is Home is legit one of Priest's best songs. As for the rest of the album - some hits, some misses, but I appreciate that they tried to do something different.
Yeah for me, this one is to be skipped largely. But I admire your determination, sir! Angel of Retribution will be a major step up, with the return of both Halford and a classic metal sound. \m/
Your facial expression in the thumb exactly matches mine when I heard this album the first and only time 😂. Never touched it since...
Honestly, it's Glenn Tipton's fault. He pushed the effects and wrote most of the tracks... I still love a few songs from it though. Feed on Me, Jeckyl and Hyde , One on One.
Please don't skip the intros and interludes when you react to Nostradamus. You need to listen to the whole thing to get in the magical/mistic vibe that the album was made for.
I hated Nostradamus at the time, but really like it now..
I may be in the minority but I think this is a much stronger album than Jugulator...there are also three great bonus tracks to this album; What's My Name, Rapid Fire (re-recorded) and Green Manalishi (re-recorded.)
この作品はいいのもあるのに、ジューダスとして聴くのは辛かったです!ひどくはないのに!グレンの実験が強すぎましたね、彼のソロはよかったのに!
Hell is home is a really solid track. Tim was great at the slower tracks
Thanks for another excellent reaction. I had bought every Priest album until this. The songs sound fine, but again, this just did not feel like Priest, and I would get the Halford solo albums instead in "Resurrection" and "Crucible."
I’m really only familiar with “One on One” and “Feed on Me,” which are pretty good, so I’m kinda judging this album for the first time too, which is a nice change.
Wow, does the backing guitar tone on Hell is Home sounds similar to Lochness. I’ve definitely heard this song but have never noticed the similarity.
I actually like this album better then the one before this with Ripper..ik most ppl hate it
Hell is home is the best track in the whole album. It's a banger but I couldn't get through this album.
In fact Ripper Owens is a fantastic front man. I consider him to be a better vocalist to Halford just that he wasn't used well in both the albums. You hear him live he nailed and bettered all the Priest classics very well. He sounded fantastic live. If they let him continue in the band they would have been a much better live act. Yes the lyrics suck in both the albums and the mixing is terrible but he is not to blame. Glen had done all of that shit. The only song he wrote in the album was what's my name the irony is that it's a bonus track in the Demolition album and that song lyrically made sense. To understand Owens vocal ability you need to listen to the album Glorious Burden by Iced Earth that could Iced Earth's best album.
After almost 20 years from the first time i Listened to Tim i have come to this conclusion.Except Jon Schaffer nobody ever use his vocal abilities the way they should.Only in Winters Bane but he was way too young then!
Priest don't swear in their songs. Cardinal sin right there. It was hip at the time to call people a M*****F****R but thats no excuse.
This album is tied with another for my least favorite Judas Priest album. You haven't made it to the other one yet. That being said, it's not complete garbage. It's just not what i want to hear from Judas Priest. It seems the songwriting is just not there and even compared to the last one, it falls short. I will say that Judas Priest at their worst is still better than so many other bands at their best. This album just didn't do it for me. If you are enjoying it, that's great. Everyone hears music differently and there's nothing wrong if you end up liking this album as a whole.
On the bright side, once you get through this one, you have Angel Of Retribution to look forward to. It's a return to the classic Priest sound. It sounds like all of their best albums combined into one.
I don't hate this album, several songs are good but Owens is a scream machine that was wasted.
I cant listen to this album tbh... I really dont like it. See you when you react to Angel of Retribution lol
I'll take this over most of the older wimpy songs... United, Dreamer Deceiver, Living after Midnight. Boring 😴
