*Spiffing video MrB!* I must say I have a special connection to this video as a very good friend of mine took part in this wonderful Parade. Everyone did an excellent job! Band, Past and Present Grenadier Guards Members, and of course both Corps of Drums! Well done! The marches played were, 1) 0:27-First and Finest 2) 3:24-For Flag and Empire 3) 6:37-The Nijmegen Company 4) 8:57-Household Brigade 5) 11:16-British Grenadiers (Return to Barracks) 6) 12:43-British Grenadiers 7) 13:18-Galanthia 8) 17:00-Old Comrades (Alte Kameraden) 9) 22:01-Grenadiers Return
Another of these Very Special Parades! The Grenadier Guards always have a Great turnout for the Regiment's Memorial Parade & this Year is No Exception. The 2 Gentlemen Heading the Parade, carrying the Wreath look very Proud to be out in Front. The Officers & Gentlemen of, I'm Guessing 1st Battalion, Make a Very Impressive Sight, all wearing a light Blue Shirt with White Collar, the Guards Tie & ofcourse the Obligatory Bowler & Brolly, not to be opened no matter how hard it rains. First time I've seen that & it adds another Dimension & obvious Pride & Camaraderie to these Veteran Soldiers of The Grenadier Regiment. A controversial Topic last year among Viewers, was the inclusion of Cadets in the Parade. Personally, I'm all for their inclusion, it's never too soon to meet those who went before them & for them to learn what it takes to be a Soldier in The Grenadier Guards, if you cant see yourself in 50 or 60 years time, being like them, then you're in the wrong Regiment or the wrong Career. They get to see the Past & Present Grenadiers & they're the Future, where else are they going to see all that. I will admit to cringing a couple of times though as a few Cadets slouched past totally out of Step & Blissfully Unaware of the Fact. At first I thought it was DM Stu Laing leading the Band, but the DM is definitely wearing a Grenadiers Plume in his Bearskin, it may have been DM Beasley, but I don't think so, he's quite fair with Blonde Stubble on his head & the Stubble on this DM isn't Blonde **. Whoever it is, he has a Nice display of Medals, so he's been around the Army for a few Years. I've made no secret of the fact I'm not a Fan of the Corps of Drums, mainly because the only Marches they seem to play are "Hazelmere" or "Galanthia" & it's Boring. The Grenadier Corps of Drums & The Corps of Drums from the Association, have proved me wrong, they are Fantastic & it's really enjoyable to watch & Listen to & with the fullness of Sound they have, you appreciate their Skill & Talent. Well done to the Gentlemen of the Association. There is no March more Appropriate as "Old Comrades" when they come onto Birdcage Walk on the way back to Barracks. Well done Gentlemen & Ladies of The Grenadier Guards! Were you ever Away Mr B!? This is Classic 'Baton Video' Standard, Great Visuals & Brilliant Audio. I hope you gave a Kick to the Offending bit of Pavement as you went Past. Thank you for taking us With you. **PS: I've just been informed that the DM IS Actually DM Beasley of 1st Batt Grenadier Guards WO 02. We may be seeing him again for the Trooping the Colour Parade early Next Month.
Little Diddy Guardsmen still have to get through Basic Training & all the Other Training they do. Would be handy having a Couple when there were only Little Diddy Places an Observer could Observe From or take Cover in.

@@MrBaton74 You're most welcome! MrB! Haha! Mum's the word! 😉😂
The veterans are amazing. They march with pride and give you the impression they are ready to do service if called upon. Excellent!
Great job Mr. B, what a show you so perfect has recorded. Thank You!
Brilliant Mr Baton you are the best.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video.
Excellent video! What a great sound and awesome colours. Great to see the Corps of drums 😉
I am surprised they don't use the march "The Old Grenadier" for this affair, in spite of its rarity it's not a bad march .
Fantastic video! Thought the corps of drums association sounded very good ;)
Amazing video❤💂

No way man I must have been standing right next to you 😭
See, you just don't know who you might be standing next to. 😂
Grenadier Drum Major any idea on the ID ? Think it could be Beasley making a return
Yep! It's DM Beasley.
Little Diddy Guardsman look weird 🤔

Can anyone tell me the name of the first song they stepped off to?
