Want to say thank you to you. I have just come out at 71 and watching you on here has been so enlightening. Heaven knows where my journey will take me but it is going to be an adventure. Hi Stine. I also had an emotional response to Jeremy’s TED talk. For me, it actually brought me closer to myself, recognizing that the AFAB part if me is me, too. I felt stronger because I realized that I have already gone through so much pain and struggle and that I can handle anything that may come with transition. Look forward to your posts! Woo Woo!

Very interesting points. Myself I feel like my old self is getting into the fog as the same time my true self is finaly getting out of it. But I really apreciate that my old me allowed me to bring me to be my new me! Woo woo as you see. I love her anyway. Bye bye to the people that don’t see me and gender me the right way. At the 8 minute point you are talking about your father and you say your relationship quote “was a great loss to me when I was alive”- I’m sure you meant when HE was alive but it was an interesting slip considering you talked about the female you helping you become who you are today. Someone else left a comment on here about thinking of themselves as having a twin sister who died and I have sort of been doing that same thing, except she’s only dead to the outside world, but she still lives inside in some way. I have grieved her loss but hadn’t thought about actually letting her go until I heard you talk about it. I’m going to spend some meditation time with this, thanks. Anyway, thanks for the woo woo, and for sharing your journey.
Thanks. This process has been very surprising to me-- mostly because grieving my past/self had remained very conceptual (in my head), and something I wanted to avoid-- up until I finally started to feel ready to feel. I just didn't want to face the feelings, and I often felt like I didn't know what to "do" with my past. I feel like this process is about dissolution of some aspects and integration of others. I feel far more at peace now. Here's to our continued growth... :)

The way i see it is you had a Twin, a female part of you that no longer is with you and no longer exists. She's passed away, although she'll always be with you, she no long belongs to and or with you. In order to be able to live YOUR life letting go of your twin cuts the ties that bound you to the past. Fly Free into the future of your own making.
