What a great video! Update on imminent upcoming Gravitas models, models to look forward to in 2025, as well as insight into what makes Pen Venture the premiere place to order from. Emy’s explanation of the concept of logistics and how important his experience and knowledge is in terms of meeting expectations of top notch customer service was incredibly interesting! Ben and Emy…the dynamic duo…innovative pen designs and filling systems ( Ben) and efficient customer service and delivery ( Emy)….thks to both of you!
Thank you Jeff - we are doing our best to make sure things are running smooth, we have experience but so much more can and will be learned in the future, what is important is that we are here to stay and to make the effort - each in their own way participating at the greater good of the overall operation.
Dear both. I would still love to get a replacement of the back part of my silver twist ballpoint pen. Is there a chance to get a spare part? Thanks Dirk
:D give it a shot ... coloured or not, it will put up a worthy experience, also I think the * nib the Piston will have ill not fit on the usual pens due to it using a unique housing, more tests and checks are needed to see how it can fit into a bock/jowo threaded section
You're not gonna like it Emy, but no clip is just fine.. especially with that carbon fiber pen! What a great way to experience the feel of the material 😊 Let Ben have his way with that one. And I loove a #8 nib! That's the icing on the carbon fiber cake Also the new nib looks soo intriguing. I would love to try that one when it comes out
:)) we are just testing the response, I have to say that the only practice side for a clip on my end would be the anti roll, but what I seen as a proposition from Ben to achieve this without the clip - is genius, so we are just kidding :)) - That 8 will not only be great but what it comes attached to it ... its just as great. the Legacy is really really innovating and I cant wait to have its final form with the longer cut slit to make it behave more flexy like a gold nib. Please keep me posted when to make the shipping towards you
@pen.venture great to hear all the pen news.. keep them coming! We're working our way on new customs regulations which are a huge pain at the moment 😑 I have 2 dolcevitas and 2 montegrappas stuck there since nearly a month now. Had to change my customs brokers on the way as well. At this point it might be actually easier and literally cheaper to come and shop directly from Pen Venture 😆 I have my eye on so many pens it's ridiculous by now. I just need the customs solved. Nobody is truly understanding the new regulations tbh.. I'll let you know the timing. Hopefully soon
Thank you for these interesting informations and the transparency, granting us a look behind the scenes! Since I change ink often I'm not that much into high capacity filling systems, but I'm getting more and more excited about this Legacy Nib for sure. Regarding a Q&A: I would like to know if there will be more of my favorite model Big Dropper/Sentry (Blackcurrant Delrin looked dope!), (with black metal grip sections, please - they look so much better with most models, are smoother, yet less "slippery" and not as cool to the touch as the uncoated ones!) and will there be another production run of the Raw Titanium? Anyway, this was fun to watch - thanks again!
Firstly, very happy with my new Gravitas Dinkey Alu-Bronze with Fine nib. (Excellent delivery albeit expensive by DHL to UK) although I was disappointed not to receive it in one of the most excellent pen (grey) sleeves but rather in simple bubble wrap. That said I will be back for a second Dinkey - most likely in Cupronickel when they become available. Question - what is with Gravitas having "membership" but not Pen Venture? Note the reason why I bought from Pen Venture and not Gravitas was that Pen Venture Black Friday went live first and I didn't want to miss out! All in all, very happy. Congratulations to both of you and look forward to your ongoing success. Cliff
:D happy to hear the dinkey arrived safe - the metal dinkey pens (minus the skittle) all gets shipped into a plastic tube that protects the pen in transit, which then goes to be wrapped in bubbles. That is the standard from Gravitas. Pen Venture is a multi brand retail store - while Gravitas is a brand in itself - Members Area is something that Gravitas as a brand wants to offer access to Gravitas loyal customers. We as a retailer operate on our timeline with our launches coordinated by the Pen Venture team and Gravitas is coordinating their operations with a different team - the difference was hours and the offer was identical (pricing wise)
@ hope the box have not been thrown - search for the carry accessory like the neoprene sleeve a black accessory coming into a plastic zip bag - let us know the next time you have an order with us so we can include this if you don’t find it
For me, a clip is required for an EDC pen, but unnecessary for other types, though a roll-stop can be useful. So I gave away my Dinkey cupronickel and purchasd a Dinkey ultem with clip when they became available.
Keep feeding that creativity engine, Ben, but I also hope you're caring for the mind and heart behind it in sustainable ways. As a complete U-turn born out of selfishness, I'd love to see a leaning into the opportunities of modular personalisation, especially on the the Ultemate Vac models, but likely also on others. Separately sold matte sections, attachable roll stops, attachable outer sleeves that hide most of the barrel but have cutouts in different shapes(branches, circuit boards, beehive, runes) that serve as ink windows(yes, I have let my imagination run off laughing without any relevant technical knowledge on this). I'm truly hoping that my financial situation next year will allow me to finally get an Ultemate Vac...or whatever else that Irish genius cooks up that turns on funny chemicals in my brain.
We have some of these in mind as options and we will ease in them as we go along, at this moment the rather concept of being successful in ordering and having items arriving safe in a timeline that is understandable - was our priority. Upon having this base we start building and opening to more and more options.
It is ok without a clip. Instead of putting on a rollstop, a small piece of "weighty" internal magnet on the side of the cap could give it a more firm placement on a flat surface. Gravity would work well (worthy of the name) with any heavy thing, but a magnet would also enable a function of user choice, besides sticking to steel surfaces or attachments, like notebooks with magnetic stickers on them. But to be honest, if the user needs a rollstop, or a clip, they themselves could order some glue or rubber cap attachment which could be an optional accessory.
Last year at the California Pen Show I was unfortunately broke and could not buy a pen from Ben. I was hoping you would be back for this years show as I have been saving money for a Gravitas. Are you going to make to the California Pen Show this year?
Hello Alex - we Pen Venture we couldnt attend the California PS - and as of now Ben I think has a few things that are planned in that timeline, you can ask him directly via his personal Instagram and see for sure
If you want to improve you just have to observe all the elements of pen if possible and almost of all looking at the performance! I did this but it's not my job! I noticed all are concetred about what they like o dislike and not about what can give you a pen! Example: a 149 Montblanc has a big diameter and will give a certain uncomfortable sensation even if in general is comfortable!😮 And the nib is impredictable because can arrive bad tuned😢
Improving he will oversee - we mean Ben, now with having the burden of the fulfilment being passed onto a team, he can focus on elements that will bring innovation and drive his creations to the next level
:D but they do stop the rolling.... and as much practical or impractical it's a burned image in our mind for a writing instrument to come with a clip so I think it's something that practical or not people are sort of looking for one just to be there
Looking forward to the pen with the craic :D
:D the Kraken filler will bring a lot of innovation to the playing field
Great to see both yourself Emy and Ben collaborating like this. Best of luck in the future and on the new Gravitas pens and nibs etc
:D future is bright
Impressed as ever. Nairobi, Kenya watching.
Greetings from Romania :D
Brilliant and innovative -- can't wait. Ben and Emy, wishing you the best for the holiday season!

Wow looking forward to a lot of that , good work
Thanks 👍 We are doing great progress on all ends
Looking forward to the new stuff! Very cool! And yes - NO CLIP is fine! :--)
no clip it is :)) - thank you

Did you lose the back? It can be reattached if if the glue has failed
Hello Dirk - write your inquires on the Gravitas website email and from there we will make sure it gets where someone can help
Hope that carbon fibre piston comes with a silver coloured nib as well as the black option - I have a need for a #8 and this looks like the one!
It won’t I’m afraid
@benwalsh9257 shame. I have a (maybe irrational) dislike of coloured nibs. Ah well...

Maybe a roll-stop instead of a clip?
I've seen something interesting this past week and im confident we will have the first pen with a clip that basically doesnt show it at all :))

im with you on this ... 5 inks a day in the same pen changed so I dont mind at all having a cc pen with a small converter.
Noted the Q&A
I have the Carbon Piston. I agree with Ben…no clip.
You are one of the 20 ish people that have one of the first production prototypes before the changes and the production run :D enjoy it
