All i have to say is how crazy it was to hold London to 1 shot in the 1st. That was the best game in spirit history right there. Hard to beat this season next year. LETS GO SPIRIT!!!

Congratulations, Spirit! I am so immensely proud of what you accomplished and to be from the area.
I am a Flint Firebirds season ticket holder but I was definitely rooting for the Saginaw Spirit!
As someone from Kingston, it is so great to see former Frontenacs defenceman Braden Haché and Kingston native Nolan Lalonde win the Memorial Cup.
As a Ducks fan and import player supporter, I am also very happy for Rodwin Dionicio.
And their goal song was the #1 song the day I was born!

The best team won. London learned that penalties will kill you. Congrats to the Spirit. Nice to see an OHL team win the Cup.
Congratulations Spirits On Winning The Memorial Cup
For all London did this year (OHL championship etc) nobody will remember them as they essentially "choked" in the last minute of the last game of their season. Hunter didn't have them prepared (the way they came out "flat" in the first period was ridiculous).
Hunter is a bully. And so are his team. It’s about time it caught up with them. They are disgraceful.
The loss stings that I have no doubt but I’m beyond proud of the boys for battling all season long. They’re OHL Champions and nobody can take that away from them. Thank you for a wonderful season boys.
It’s bittersweet but I tip my cap to Saginaw. #MemorialCup
Remember these guys are kids. And they played their hearts out.

Nobody remembers the OHL Champion--they remember the Memorial Cup winner and that "ain't" the Knights. Hunter for all his acumen didn't have the team properly prepared although they had the extra day of rest. That ridiculous first period where they had ONE shot on goal came back to bite them

Saginaw was chippy!!!! One of the London players was cross checking a Saginaw player before the opening faceoff. And London's #7, Coward, cross checked both Hache' and Dionicio as they were heading down to celebrate with the team. Glad to see him crying after seeing that display.

@@penzealt8919 yes I know what you mean but like I said before London didn’t seem to want it as bad as Saginaw did, which is why they scored more faster and London only tied it with farther shots with it being harder to block. Saginaw was lucky and did the job London was lazy. Sorry had to say it… you’re allowed to disagree that’s fine but they weren’t playing good at all…
That was best moment that my saginaw spirit came away with the memorial cup and got to witness the game
Unbelievable game-unbelievable atmosphere at the rink. Congrats Saginaw fans, you deserve this!
Some random thoughts here. First off tip of the cap to Saginaw. Coming up with a 3-0 lead on home ice set the energy meter quite high. A very entertaining final. London jerseys are so nice. Minnesota should bring that sweater back full time. It’s just beautiful. Sam Dickinson and Zayne Parekh are going to be sick on the next stage. When Beck went by the London bench it looked like Dale Hunter was coming over the boards for a “Turgeon”. Lol. Congrats to the Spirit for slaying a dragon and winning that honoured trophy. 🎉 👏
As a London Fan good job Saginaw. It's a hard trophy to win.

The London knights are the best run team in the OHL they are the best team in the OHL a lot and as a Spitfire fan it hurts to admit that but it's true. But it amazes me how many times they just Choke year after year after year after year. No one remembers who won the OHL title but they always remember who won the Memorial Cup

it was a nice elbow that got him ejected from the game and the 5 minutes penalty that cost his team!

Grew up there. Always wanted to pls for the spirit. Even have a Tom pyatt stick still. Fell in love with hockey there, go wings and go spirit. Feels awesome Saginaw gets some recognition now

laughed when I heard the play-by-play lady call the Spirit an American Team. American based maybe with only 4 American players. Will give them credit though, they shut down a great London team.
That last goal looked very sketch. Was there any live gambling/betting taking place on this game? Even the announcer said it was scripted

He said you couldn't script it any better. Spirit take big lead, London storms back, spirit score with 10 seconds left. Also, spirit were hosting the event and won it.
Furthest thing from it, I've been watching Saginaw hockey since 1972.
London should’ve had this in the bag. A better team all around just wasn’t their night. Nice try knights💯
