The smartest dog in the world was our poodle, Chico. He did amazing tricks, talked on the phone, was injured trying to play baseball, and several times got in the school bus and had to get kicked off. Chico the dog was a true Marx, sly, impish, and brilliant.

It's jarring to see 86 yr. old Dick Cavett recall times spent as a fresh-faced, bashful youth interviewing an elderly Groucho Marx. As hard as it may be for some to believe, at the time of this comment's posting in late 2022 Cavett is a half-decade older than Groucho was in these interviews!
