my interpretation of this mv is that it is trying to depict how yukika came to terms with the fact that she wanted to sing. i think that the other girl is a younger version of herself (the end of the mv where the girl's reflection of yukika is her). maybe yukika has time traveled to help her past self open her eyes and wake up from the insomnia because it's her time.
I have a theory for insomnia's mv. I think the mv, and the song for instance, talks about the closing of an era (being her time spent in estimate) and the nervousness of starting a new period full with uncertainty but still knowing you can look back and feel comforted by the love you've received (from yumiz during soul lady and her past releases). Things that could be hinting this: - at the beginning of the song she talks about a worn-out vinyl, the soul lady cd and the limited cd for the neon single all had a design to look like a vinyl ep. - the first "flashback" we have shows a girl in a kitchen that resembles the one where she shoot the mv for cherries jubilees and the colour palette is very similar. we also see that girl playing a guitar which further links it to cherries jubilees since we've seen yukika play the guitar in said mv and the song has an acoustic version -we can also notice in the guitar a heart shaped sticker similar to the one included in soul lady's album for the i feel love track. the next time we see the guitar, the sticker is damaged due to the passing time, meaning that soul lady is now in the past, but before she continues on her journey she decides to pay a visit to her old self being the brunette girl, to say a last goodbye. - the next thing we see is yukika singing in front of people holding an old mic similar to the one we see in her neon mv. the lyrics also talk about the feeling of warmth which i think reefers to the affection she's reveived since she started as a singer. she then tells the brunette girl to come to the stage and sing (encouraging her past self to fight for her dreams of becoming a singer). - when she goes, towards the end of the mv, to visit herself for the last time we can see how the earrings she's wearing (pink haired yukika) are also next to the frame we last see when the song ends implying once more that they are the same person. in the end when the credits are showing me see both yukikas in front of a mirror and we see how present yukika looks softly at her past self. Last thing we see is a sentence: when you open your eyes, it's your time. I think this means that she's managed to go to sleep knowing that despite the uncertainty she'll be facing with her new company, she's loved by her fans and like she told to her past self she has to keep fighting for her dreams, as she ows it to herself. Her time will come once she awakens, leaving behind once and for all her concerns and her past to fully live her present and work towards her future. I don't know if this makes any sense at all.
